The undefeated Ducks got here with wins over Texas A&M and San Diego State, and my Oregon vs. Alabama predictions expect them to remain stingy against the No. 9 Crimson Tide.

My analysis
The first futures bet of the season I made was for Oregon to win the Big Ten, as the Ducks were one of the most undervalued teams in the market. They've validated that with a 7-0 start to the season, and they're getting too many points ahead of tonight's matchup against Alabama.
Non-negotiables when taking on the Ducks are defending the three-point line well and not giving up easy baskets. Oregon ranks Top-50 in the nation defending shots from downtown, and this Alabama team has been quite average from deep — with little to no positive regression looming.
The Tide have lived at the foul line thus far, entering tonight with a free throw rate that ranks them 18th. Unfortunately for Bama, the Ducks maintain one of the lowest foul rates in the country and have played some pretty intense competition so far, making you believe that number is a fair reflection of who they are.
From an X and Os perspective, there are a few easy routes to offense for Oregon to score. The Ducks will get opportunities in transition as Bama will have no objections to running, and thus, they'll be able to attack a poor Tide transition defense. In the halfcourt, they'll have success attacking the rim and the backboard. Alabama ranks in the bottom 40% of the country in rim defense and has shown it's exploitable on second-chance points.
I can't pass up the opportunity to get multiple possessions in this spot. The Ducks are a legitimate Top 25 team and will eventually be ranked. I'll take advantage of buying low on them while I still can.

Left with few options, I elected to pair the Under with my best bet. Bama will have to adjust to life away from the charity stripe, which should ultimately result in a small drop in the Tide's efficiency.
On the other hand, while running may be the best scoring option for the Ducks, it'll pick and choose its spots given that Bama boasts one of the best transition offenses in the country. I currently project this total at 162.5.
