The Los Angeles Lakers begin a four-game road trip against the Utah Jazz tonight at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
My Lakers vs Jazz predictions are expecting a quiet game from LeBron James amid a cold spell from the future Hall of Famer.

Lakers vs Jazz prediction
My best bet
LeBron James Under 23.5 points (-110 at bet365)
My analysis
For a 39-year-old, LeBron James is having a very respectable season, averaging 22.3 points, 9.1 assists, and 8.2 rebounds on 38.8% shooting from three-point land. The King continues to get it done for the Los Angeles Lakers, who are sitting at 11-8 heading into tonight’s contest.
However, Bron has hit a lull as of late. He’s hit the Under in points in four straight appearances, failing to hit 20 points in all of those games. In a loss to the OKC Thunder a few nights ago, James only had 12 points in 33 minutes of action. Prior to that, the veteran also scored just 16 versus the San Antonio Spurs.
While he did have 26 against the Utah Jazz in the middle of November, LeBron isn’t scoring the rock at a high level right now. Sure, Utah isn’t the best defensive team, but for what it’s worth, he also averaged just 17 PPG against them in one game in the 2023-24 season, too.
I like the Under for Bron in this one.
Lakers vs Jazz same-game parlay
Collin Sexton has proved to be an important piece for the Jazz. The guard is averaging 17 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 43.8% from deep. He’s a gritty player on both ends of the floor who truly leaves it all out there every single night.
Although he’s not going to light up the scoresheet, Sexton is playing well lately. He’s hit the Over in points in three of his last four outings, registering at least 20 points in those games. Also, Sexton had 19 points last month against the Lakers. The 25-year-old will do his part tonight on home court.
Anthony Davis is putting together a huge campaign for the Lakers with nearly 30 PPG and 11.6 boards per night. That will be the focus here — his ability to dominate on the glass. The big man has cashed the Over in rebounds in three straight, grabbing 12, 14, and 15 boards during that span.
The last time Los Angeles faced Utah, AD had 14 rebounds as well. Yes, the Jazz have a force down low as well in Walker Kessler, but Davis is on another level. On top of that, he averaged 15.3 boards versus the Jazz last season. All signs point to Davis doing his thing on the glass.
