Iowa's had success running the ball 1st half, and that doesn't bode well for the Tigs. Maybe they'll figure out how to stop them 2nd half. You better hope so. RT2 |

ND-Ga...I watched Ole Miss play Georgia back in November. Admittedly, the Rebels were at home and still healthy, but they beat Georgia on both sides of the ball. Dawgs probably haven't taken a loss like that in the Kirby Smart era. ND can do the same. They've gotten better all season. Classic case of the "wrong team favored' in this match-up. OSU-OU...contrary to what gamblers believe, it's not mandatory to bet every game. This is one of those match-ups; better to watch than to wager, two great teams with super talent. The spot is perfectly placed to get action on both sides, and it will be a coin flip game from wire to wire. If you think you can find an edge in this match-up, you're probably deluding yourself. ASU-UT...David vs. Goliath. Texas is bigger and more talented; they have back up talent too, and they played a tougher schedule. First glance, this should be a beat down. They should have no problem beating a team with a freshman QB and a 34 year old coach. However, the spot is over valued by @ 3 points. And David did slay Goliath with a stone to the haed, if I remember the story right. Line value is with the Sun Devils in this match-up. PSU-BSU...This match-up for some reason got me to thinking about the 1980 Gator Bowl. I'd just started booking and betting back then. Pittsburgh was playing South Carolina. Like Boise, South Carolina had a great running back named George Rogers; he'd won the Heisman that year. I don't recall the exact number, but Pitt came out the favorite by enough points to get bettors to bet on him and the Cocks. (I was one of the suckers, which is why I remember this game so well.) Pitt had some great talent that year, a young QB named Dan Marino, and among others, a guy on the defensive side named Hugh Green. The coach was Jackie Sherrill. Rogers got his yards but the game was no contest. Pitt won 37-9. Just a flashback from an old gambler; you can make of it what you will. Penn State will will have to really shiit the bed not to cover the number. I absolutely hate betting big favs but won't be on Boise in this match-up. Good luck if you do. Okay, that's my .02. Thanks Wahoo for keeping Covers a quasi sane and sensible place to visit! Let's work together and get some cheese this bowl season. RT2 |

...Tigers twisted with the Lions on the ML. 1000 brings back @ 940; that's less than 10% juice. Memphis is the better team, and Detroit will not be happy about the Buffalo loss. Every bet has its risk; don't gamble if you don't understand this. BOL, RT2

@JinxRazor
Don't underestimate Morrissey; he's pretty strong with his plays. Just my .02, but I wouldn't bet a wooden nickel on a college bowl total nowadays. Way too much that is unknown. With the opt outs and xfers, both teams taking the field tonight are not the same teams that played the regular season. You're coin flipping at a 10% price, and that's not real sharp. Hard enough to find a side to bet with all the unknowns. |

@HabsHater88 You best know who is on the Bolts' practice squad before making a big bet on them. They're banged up big time. |

The ugly truth is that there is not enough top notch football talent in the world to supply and support 32 pro teams through an 18 game season. The game is too brutal, which results in injuries, and the season too long, which results in too many practice squad players on the field. |

Overshown out; he's been a big factor for the Boys. Something to consider today. |

Not much of a trend bettor, but this stat is intriguing:
Philly, dead last at 1.3 points per 1st Q Pitt, no. 22 at 3.5 per 1st Q Steelers +3 1st half looks tempting.
Thanks for all your work. RT2 |

Good job of posting the stats. Thanks. Former squid here...hurts to say it but the grunts are the better team this year. Daily is the real deal. They should cover the number. Good luck. RT2 |

Hope you're right. Definitely the value side...bettors still getting a bargain price on Dallas with Prescott out. It may not be a winner, given all the variance of a football game, but it's the right side to play. Also nice to have the best young FG kicker in the game on your side! |

Cajun Field is about as tough of a venue for the visiting team as there is. Good luck with your bet. Rt2 |

Ponderings: 1.) How soon will BTC replace the dollar (and other currencies) as the world's money? Isn't this starting to happen now? and will the Trump administration move toward making this happen? 2.) What will BTC do to the price of gold? Are the two tied together or will gold eventually become a worthless metal, replaced b y BTC as? As a kid I remember an old Twilight Zone show, the underlying theme being that gold became valueless in the future. Intriguing. 3.) I recall a teacher telling me that economics is essentially the study of money. What will BTC do to how we understand economics? If it is indeed inflation proof as you intimate, won't its use as a currency bring about a radical change in the macro economic theory? Are we at the dawn an economic revolution now and most folks don't realize it yet? Interesting. 4.) Won't increased BTC usage necessitate alternative sources of energy such as solar? It's not hard to imagine bitcoin data centers powered by solar energy stations in the future.

Don't forget that you know what you are doing. Variance can be a bitch but not all the time; that's why it's termed 'variance'. If you stick with the method, the worm will turn, always does. RT2 |
