sheesh I am not doing much of anything...this market is out of control. No sense of reality, it just goes up on buybacks and HFT flow and man if this isnt a major head scratcher to me.
This blind rampant bullish action reminds me of 1999 to 2000 when everything went up for no reason, I see some names and the stock prices and I think what the crap is going on?
I cant buy into this nonsense and its been going on for almost ten years...

I don't know Wall? I have accepted the fact that I can never be smarter than the markets. I have been fully invested since the crash in 2008-2009 and my portfolio has a ten year return of well over 500%. I would much rather be in the markets (as a general rule) than be on the sidelines, regardless of how crazy or inflated I "think" they might be.

This is all true but Ive been in these markets so long that the contrarian and anti-herd in me just cannot buy into these price levels. Stocks are massively overvalued, most every name out there is overvalued...every sector but energy is extremely expensive even when you factor in the fake buyback and dividend games they are playing.
I know the market is the only return game in town and has been for 10 yrs, there is no yield out there at all but these valuations are absurd and I guess I cant buy absurd across the board even missing as I have to some extent.
I bought in right smack at the low, within a few hundred SPX pts and I thought I was early...well I made a nice return and exited, I FULLY expected a double dip test of the lows but it never happened.
Keep in mind it takes one event, one day to crush the living crap out of this souffle, so tread lightly.

Shouldve jumped in Omer with me when it was getting crushed my friend or played the 18-22 range one of these times...
Im going in on Acbff this morning gonna hold for a while..they have low cost per kilo and all kinds of deals already made, think it gets back to the highs before too long.Weed stock have been insane last few weeks, even sprwf dropped back down below a buck now over 1.40.

If the market comes in over the next few months OMER will get whacked like it seems to since it is a higher beta bio stock so my chance still exists and lets see how it plays out.
I seriously look at valuations and laugh...a large number of stocks are so far out of range of reality I dont see how long it can continue and I promise it wont...when I have no idea but tech valuations are out of control.
I read some article yesterday dissecting earnings growth for the market and this guy determined that 50% of the earnings growth for the SPX has come due to a decrease in interest expense from lower interest rates and the shift many have done from long term to short term debt...translation many corps are playing games to goose earnings and yeah it has worked, it still is working but this is not a long term strategy unless we have become Japan and maybe we have, I dont think we have but maybe so.
The cost of this economic growth is all from debt...government and corporate debt and for sure while rates are good the game can continue and maybe this clown running the FED will be like Greenspam and play nice any time the market drops 1% and if so who knows where it can go...but the underpinnings of this market are fake and thin...it wont take much to smack the crap out of this market and for how quick it has gone up I dont see why it wont come down just as quick, but we shall see.
When I see accounting games and gimmicks I cant buy stocks into that...its fake like how in the late 90s companies said that earnings dont matter and they started throwing out valuations that werent based on earnings but growth irregardless of earnings so price to sales growth etc...these games work until they dont. I had many customers at the brokerage I worked at got 100% cashed out...they were leveraged and they got destroyed playing tech names and the Nasdaq, and the valuations now are so much worse...Amazon at a T market cap???? That has to be the black swan event of this decade.

I guess we just disagree on our fundamental investing strategies. 2008-2009 proved to me that any "smack the crap event" will not last forever. In the long run, it's more profitable to be in the markets than be out of the markets.
I know people that sold out on election day and the day after when the markets were getting slammed. These same people called me for advice and I advised them to hold tight. Some people just can't take the heat. I understand that. However, these same people bought back into the markets after missing out on a 20% pop. It's just a horrible strategy.
I suppose if you pull the right strings, your strategy can work.....but I doubt it will provide better returns in the long run.

Im not worried bout OMER getting hit, while they are burning cash to fund pipeline Omidria revs were 25 mill a qtr and growing. The sales #s will be even better once it comes back Oct1st with everything thats happened last 6 months. There may be one more offering here but Im not gonna worry unless the next batch of data is bad.If its good and we are in this range we will see new ATH for this stock.
Ive made good money last few months just buying stocks Ive had on my list for years and range trading when I see them near lows,I went in on another stock this am and still have cash waiting for next opportunity, even if garbage hits the fan it wont be enough to wipe out gains Ive made,LET IT RIDE BABY!!

I hesitate to give an opinion, as I don't know anything about this company and it's not widely covered. I will say the 20 year chart is just BRUTAL. Combine that with the recent 500% yearly bump and I think you know what not to do here.

Forgot to post this the other day..OMS721 hood news for yet another indication.
"EMA designated Omeros Corporation¡¯s (OMER)OMS721 an Orphan Medicinal Product in the European Union (EU) for treatment in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (¡®HSCT). The company informed that they are in discussions with European regulators and FDA to discuss full and conditional/accelerated approval for OMS721 in HSCT-associated TMA.
The OMP designation isintended for the ¡°diagnosis, prevention or treatment of life-threatening or very serious conditions that affect no more than 5 in 10,000 people in the European Union. Apart from the 155 approved products in the category, the EC further designated 1595 products as orphan medicinal products. Sponsors of such products receive protocol assistance in facilitating development and authorisation of innovative medicines for the patients suffering from such rare disease.
OMS721 is in trials for HSCT-TMA. This indication has roughly 2000-2500 patients per year in the US. The candidate is also in trials for IgAN. Despite competition there¡¯s a strong case to be made for the drug to be a billion dollar blockbuster for Omeros. For a company with current market cap of $1.13B, this is definitely a major opportunity."

I kick myself for not buying OMER at $10. What a great deal you tried to put me on Buck. One of my biggest weaknesses when it comes to investing is skepticism. OMER is a grand slam....congrats!

Its not over my friend..read up on everything with this stock, approval is coming IMO.This company has expanded sales force, hired an exec away from Sanofi,in talks with FDA and EMA for full and Accelerated Approval, added VA..the list of positives over the last 10 months is impressive yet here we are at the same price from a yr ago
Omidria sales alone will take this to new highs next spring..approval will push this to triple digits,I can feel it!!

Companies like ALNY have the same EPS,same revs, more shares trading at $120.Ive had my doubts, wondered how others dont see the same potential here but Ive also sold many stocks that turned out to be multi baggers..Im not making that mistake on this one.
The list of diseases they are targeting with patents they own are insane, addiction and breast cancer alone??Are you kidding me!!??Sign me up lol.Im not gonna lie and say I understand the science behind this but I get it's a new way to tackle treatment and the results from trials is easy to interpret,15 fold increase is pretty cut and dry.
Seriously though go watch the presentation from a few weeks back, look at the slides provided even if they only come through on one or two of these its life changing profits.I fantasize about approval, splits, more options lol the wife thinks I'm crazy and is tired of hearing about it but loves the results thus far.

Look at the sales, market cap cash and debt between the two. ALNY has a 12 B market cap, 106 M revenue, 1.45 B cash and 30 M in debt. OMER is 1.26 B market cap, 39M revenue 88M in cash and 130M in debt.
So if you think that OMER will grow revenues like that, get rid of 130M in debt and raise a billion in cash then maybe they can surpass ALNY, and that assumes the float doesnt change of course.
It seems that ALNY is stronger financially and has decent ratios compared to OMER.

Wall but look at the past 3 qtrs of omidria sales before passthrough ended, it was on it's way to over 100 mill..I think sales ramp right back up not sure it sustains the growth rate it was going at before but analysts were calling for Omidria sales to be around $128 mill the following yr...keep in mind this was before pediatric use approved, before addition of the VA,before revamping sales team.
I was just looking at small bios with one drug on the market and a developing pipeline..
Numbers for 2017
Omer eps -1.38 with 48 million shares ALNY eps -5.42 101 million shares..

I have to...with all the emerging market stuff I dont see how it is wise to be in the market up here given what headwinds there are let alone the farce that this market is.
