2021 florida state vs clemson. 4 seconds left in the game florida state has the ball own 30. Throw a a 5 or 10 yard pass then you should know the rest. Lateral, Lateral, Lateral, Lateral till there own 3 yardline and clemson player grabs ball and takes it to end zone. Had 3k on that game.  Line was florida state 9.5. They lost by 10. Couldn't believe my eyes.  That was probably the worst way to lose.  I have other bad beats but that one I still remember the exact play.  No game is over until the clock strikes 0.

I don't remember the year, but Jake Plummer was QB at Arizona St. Can't remember who they were playing, but I was on the underdog, getting eight points if I recall. The game went into OT and ASU scored first, leading by seven. My team then had the ball and their QB threw a pick six. Devils won by 13. Ouch.

 Miami vs GT last year. All Miami had to do was take a knee and let time expire but they ran a play and fumbled and GT scored in 2 plays to win the game as time expired.

About 16 years ago give or take, OSU was playing MN. OSU was dominating opponents going into that early season matchup, and the gophers were getting curb stomped by everybody, especially in the 1st halves. Gophers were outscored by Miami of Ohio 21-0 in the first half, and someone else, maybe purdue outscored them 28-0 in the first half. The line on OSU first half was -13 1/2. I put $1100 on OSU -13 1/2 to win $1000. I didn't bother buying down to 13, because I didn't think the gophers could force OSU into two field goals. They hadn't shown they could force anyone to kick field goals at that point, let alone Ohio St.

So the gophers get the ball first *ugh. They drive a little (the scripted plays usually go better for bad teams), but miss a long field goal. OSU goes on about a 10 play drive and score a touchdown to make it 7-0 (good). Gophers go 3 in out (good). OSU goes 3 n out (Fuck). Gophers go 3 n out (yes). OSU goes on a 12 play drive, and scores another easy touchdown to make it 14-0 after 1st quarter. Gophers doing nothing on offense, go 3 n out again (cool). Ohio state drives to the gopher 36, and on 4th and 3, turn it over on downs. Receiver drops an easy catch. Gophers, who've done nothing on offense, now go on an extended drive, if you call it that. Minny assisted by two huge interference and defensive holding calls, gets a touchdown to make it 14-7.

The family is moving my 18 year old daughter up to St. Cloud for college, and we're out to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings. There is 6 1/2 min left, and I'm sweating this score. I have $1100 riding on the game, and have to act like nothing is going on. I don't usually bet more than a couple hundred. This is like a once every 5 years bet for me. If that.

OSU drives out to their 45 (I'm sweating it), but is forced to punt with 4 1/2 min left. Fuck. I'm going to need a quick stop, so they don't settle for 3.

Minnesota, who's had one drive, aided by 2 penalties, decides it's suddenly time to be functional. Adam weber finds two receivers for two big gains, then gets help from a 15 yard penalty against OSU, and is suddenly on the OSU 8, with the clock winding down. I'm fucked.

With about 2 min left, OSU picks off weber, but the retarded dback brings it out of the endzone and is tackled on the 2. I now need a 98 yard drive in under 2 minutes. But you're telling me there's a chance. I'm glued to the screen, the wife and kids are chatting. I'm trying to follow along, and be polite etc, but my heart is racing, and I'm watching the TV more than paying attention to my family.

Ohio state hands off, run middle (OH NO, they're playing conservative, to just go into half time) The clock is down to like 1:40 ish, and MN burns a timeout. Well that's good, maybe there's still a chance.

Ohio state hands off middle again (FUCK). They get 2 yards, and there is another timeout. There's like 1:33 left, the score is 14-7. I need an OSU touchdown, they're on their own 6, 3rd and 6. FUCK.... (see the rest below)

1996 ASU vs USC game went OT and he thought he was home free with +8.

Then they allowed the pick six and tacked on the points and fkd the cover.

The running back runs up the gut, gets to the 2nd level, cuts to his left, gets into the open field, is racing the defenders as he angles to the left sideline, 20, 25, 30, Go BITCH!! (oh wait, I'm with my family, I can't even act excited. I'm a gopher fan, why would I be cheering an OSU running back?)

He gets tackled on the sideline at the 33.... There is a flag.... FACEMASK. HOLY SHIT!!!

Next play, from the OSU 48, the QB drops back to pass, and launches a long ball into a well covered receiver at the goal line, he jumps up in coverage, reaches over the top of the defender, and comes down with a miracle catch for a TOUCHDOWN!!!

HOLY FUCK!!! this is a $2100 swing!! There's no way this just happened!! I can't contain myself, I have to yell and scream, but why would I be cheering an OSU touchdown in a bar full of Minnesotans, sitting with my family, enjoying our last meal with our daughter until Thanksgiving. So I excuse myself, run outside, and SCREAM my bloody head off. The adrenaline rush was amazing. They just pulled off the impossible (ok, well, it looked impossible when the gophers had the ball on the 8, and I needed a tuddy to cover 13 1/2). A 98 yard drive in the last 1:50 (this was 17 years ago, now it's common place). I'm so fucking pumped $1000 FUCKING DOLLARS!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

I walk back inside, and watch in horror, as they're attempting the extra point.  The ball is bobbled a little, and the OHio state kicker kicks a line drive into the back of his offensive lineman, and the extra point is NO good. It's 20-7, and I fucking lose my bet by 1/2 a point. FUCK!!!  I don't think that kicker missed another PAT the rest of the year.

By the way, the gophers don't score again the rest of the game. All but two of their possessions in the 2nd half are 3 in out. Ohio St was favored by 23 1/2 for the game. They won 30-7, so the full game OSU backers got fcked as well. I don't think it's coincidence. i get fucked like that all the time.

So I have to go back to the table, and sit back down with my family, lie about where I went, and why I left the table, I just lost a $2100 swing, and have to act like nothing happened. My brain is reeling, I feel like puking, I'm raging inside, and I have to sit there with no reaction. Gambling sucks the life out of you sometimes. That stoicism probably makes me a better poker player. But fuck you Buckeyes!!!

Air Force college basketball. Like 10 years ago. That year they were just crushing everyone. Had a great shooting O and a fantastic D. Went on the road. DD fav. They were winning games by like an avg 20+ points and holding teams to like 45 pts/game. Crazy good stats. I put 7700 to win 7000 on them -17ish I think. Damn flyboys had the worst 3 pt shooting night ever like 3-30 and lost straight up HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH. Sometimes it just happens like that. It never had a chance of covering so it didn’t sting as bad as bad beats.

NFL - Colts playing at Ravens when Manning went out in 2011. Terrible spread of 15 points, or maybe I bet it live, I can't remember. Orlovsky threw a Colts TD with 8 seconds left to cover. 

If I bet pro games with spreads like that I usually just bet the first half now.

This year Ohio State vs Penn State. They should've kneeled for it to go under and they punched it in. Iost a four team $3000 parlay on that bullshit.

This one still hurts. 2019 eastern conference finals between Toronto and Milwaukee. The under was 220. Kawhi Leonard had that raptors defense locked the hell in. Games were literally flying under. That¡¯s all I was playing. Started with $500 and kept rolling it over. These games were going under by 20 pts. Game ended up tied at 96 going to overtime. Still good right? Nope, game went into a second overtime tied at 106 and ended at up going over by 6 pts. I had a return of over 19k if that had stayed under. Man that one burned for awhile 

2007, 7k on Virginia Tech -1 in a monsoon against Boston College. VT up 10-0 punts with 4 mins to go and pins BC inside their own 10 and they have less than 100 yards all game. Rains lightens up, Matt Ryan leads them down the field for TD. Eddie Royal muffs the subsequent onside kick with 2 mins to go, BC recovers and on 3rd and 20 throws a TD to the running back on a busted coverage and I lose 14-10. Went MIA for a few days 

I laid heavy on a "sure thing" $7,500 to win $500.

No way this would lose.

My pick was absolutely DOMINATING the game up and down the field...NO FLUKE either! And moving the ball virtually at will (NO LUCK INVOLVED!) against a supposedly good defense......and their defense was stellar against what was supposed to be a very good offense - holding them to just 3 measly points mid-way thru the 3rd Q....

Atlanta Falcons were *DOMINATING* that SuperBowl 28 - 3 at the time...not just on the scoreboard but on the field, in all three phases

 How about best win... 1st half CBB (Xavier was a 12.5 pt favorite in the first round of the NCAA Tournament). I took the dog +12.5.  Xavier was up 18 with approximately 30 seconds left in the half WITH THE BALL!!! The little 5'3" point guard (small Texas school) stole the ball twice, got fouled after making 2 layups (last one as time expired) and made a free throw with no time left to be down by 12 at the half.  Craziest win ever. ??
