Moving on. Look closely at the newly passed tax code and how the reform will affect different sectors. Right now it looks like energy and financials will benefit the most. While I have touted the financials prior to the new tax reform, the XLE deserves serious consideration. It's down 30% from 2014 and should finally begin to recover. In a top heavy market, XLE has limited downside risk.

There are no drugs for IGAN..their results for aHus have led the FDA to give them orphan drug and fasttrack status.Stem cell TMA results were good for those who lived long enough to complete trial..Europe is on board and the 40 patient study enrolling now will be enough for approval if results are there.

While I do agree that the stock has enormous potential (and might see 100 someday), that potential is dependent on a pipeline of drugs with nothing truly guaranteed. The fact that OMER is trading at a 10/1 premium to its peers on price to book is concerning (I hate paying a premium for anything).
If I was looking for a grand slam stock, this would be a candidate. My investing strategy is slightly more conservative.

FDA approved Omidria for pediatric use..here we go to $22 yall..next comes phase 3 news and updates on reimbursement..$27 still possible before xmas!I got bids on calls for Jan 2020 at $27,$30 and debating $35.Dont usually mess with these but Im gonna take a shot looking to spend at most 7-9 k here but its worth it IMO.
I'm gonna jump in the shallow end here on OMER...small sprinkle as it comes up a strong buy via one of the my filters.

Buck those leaps are crazy, you are like 14 bucks out of the money so your break even as time goes is almost 100% away in price. I would have gone as tight to the money as possible and considered it a leveraged purchase versus a pure gamble. Leveraged meaning say the 18's are going for 7 per contract, well since it would be at the money it is the same as buying shares at 2.5 x leverage. I hope it goes for you but as it moves up you will absorb some of that premium and not participate on the rally point for point.
I might buy some shares but I am not sure there is a pressing need given the price action lately.

If these options pay off Im dumping more right back into options cause there will be more indications added to the label..not to mention splits,this is 48 million share float the drug they are competing withs parent company has billions of shares.

If things pan out as you say I dont think they stay around, some larger player will buy them for sure. But as you know in bio land there are lots of loops along the path to success.
Remember all the hoopla of that other stock with all the potential that never developed? I wont say the stock symbol..

If their results are legit the potential revenue is mind boggling..each indication for 721 is billions a yr+plus pipeline+omidria with top end revs estimates of nearly a billion+patents on pathway detailed in conf call..
Whatever the offer is my options should be good lol.

I'm shocked this thread has gotten so stale. The market hit new all time highs today, so something must be worth buying right? For the record, I am not selling my positions in the XLF and the VGK....both have A LOT of room to run.

AUY (YAMANA GOLD) has earned me 29% since the beginning of December. Bought in at $2.61 a share and holding.
Precious metals and mining are my picks for 2018 in case of a "market correction." I think we will see the Dow at 25k and staying above by mid January-early Feb though.

I'll be looking to find a couple Cannabis plays ...if the parabolic move the last few days slow a bit or i'll see once we get a pullback in the markets..Haven't had one(of 5% or more) in what seems like 18 mos. or more ..At some point that SHOULD happen but who knows when...
