Seahawks 27, Cowboys 7: Marshawn Lynch rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown and Seattle used a dominant effort from its defense and special teams to hand visiting Dallas its first loss.
Seahawks (1-1) rookie quarterback Russell Wilson was efficient in his second career start, completing 15 of 20 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown. He hit tight end Anthony McCoy for a 22-yard touchdown, the first of McCoy's career, to make it 20-7 with 5:12 left in the third quarter.
Seattle's special teams set the tone, forcing a fumble on the opening kickoff to set up Steven Hauschka's 21-yard field goal and blocking a punt that Jeron Johnson scooped up at the 3-yard line and ran in for a touchdown to make it 10-0.
The Cowboys (1-1) were unable to sustain the offensive momentum they built in a season-opening win against the New York Giants, as Seattle held Dallas to 296 total yards.
The Seahawks clamped down in the second half and outgained the Cowboys 197-85. After Wilson's touchdown pass to McCoy capped a 90-yard drive, Lynch sealed it with a 3-yard touchdown run to put the finishing touches on a 12-play, 88-yard march.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Lynch has scored at least one touchdown in 12 of his last 14 games. กญ The Cowboys have not started 2-0 since 2008. กญ Kevin Ogletree, who had a breakout game in the Cowboys' season opener with eight catches for 114 yards and two touchdowns, had just one catch for 26 yards Sunday.
