No. 18 UCLA 44, Washington 30: Brett Hundley was 29-of-36 for 302 yards and accounted for four touchdowns as the visiting Bruins rolled past the Huskies.
Hundley threw touchdown passes to Kenneth Walker and Mossi Johnson and rushed for two scores to lead UCLA (8-2, 5-2 Pac-12) to its fourth consecutive win. Myles Jack contributed a dazzling 28-yard TD run and Paul Perkins added 19 carries for 98 yards as the Bruins kept their Pac-12 South title hopes alive.
Cyler Miles was 14-of-24 for 155 yards and rushed for 62 yards and a score as Washington (6-4, 2-4) lost for the fifth time in its last six games against UCLA. Shaq Thompson rushed 16 times for 100 yards and Dwayne Washington chipped in a 12-yard TD run for the Huskies, who allowed two early touchdowns and trailed 31-10 at the half.
Hundley, who set the school record for career touchdown passes with 70, capped a 10-play drive with a 6-yard run to put the Bruins ahead 21-10 midway through the second quarter. Jack, who rushed for four touchdowns in last seasonกฏs 41-31 victory over the Huskies, delivered the play of the game by avoiding tackles and racing down the sideline with 5:23 to go in the first half.
UCLA extended the lead to 38-13 on Hundleyกฏs 15-yard TD strike to Johnson with 6:02 left in the third quarter, but John Ross returned the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown to keep the Huskies within striking distance. Ka'imi Fairbairn answered with one of his three field goals to push the lead to 41-20 and the Bruins held on to move into a second-place tie with USC in the Pac-12 South.
GAME NOTEBOOK: UCLA was penalized four times for 37 yards after committing a total of 25 penalties for 239 yards in its previous two games. กญ Washington played without starting CB Marcus Peters, who was dismissed from the program Thursday. กญ UCLA posted 476 yards of total offense and improved to 18-9 against Pac-12 opponents under coach Jim Mora.
