Alouettes 50, Lions 17: S.J. Green and Duron Carter caught touchdown passes and Tanner Marsh ran for two scores as host Montreal demolished BC.
Jonathan Crompton was 14-for-21 passing for 155 yards for the Alouettes (10-9), who advance to face the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the East Division Final next Sunday. Bear Woods and Jerald Brown made interceptions and Brown also returned a fumble for a touchdown, while Brandon Rutley rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries and Chris Rainey had 71 rushing yards and a score on three carries.
Kevin Glenn tossed two interceptions and was 6-for-18 for 64 yards for the Lions (9-10), who couldnกฏt get anything going on offence until Travis Partridge found Shawn Gore and Ernest Jackson for touchdowns in the final 2:14. Stefan Logan rushed for 94 yards on 13 carries, while Alex Bazzie had a sack and Cord Parks recorded an interception.
Green caught a 10-yard touchdown pass with 5:40 remaining in the first half and Carter added a 16-yard touchdown with 1:09 left to make it 15-3 at the break. Rutley opened the second half with 36 rushing yards on a drive that ended in Marshกฏs first touchdown and Rutley scored his TD after Woods picked off Glenn midway through the third quarter.
The Lions attempted a quick kick out of their own end zone with 3:11 remaining in the third quarter but Marco Iannuzzi was only able to tap the ball before being tackled, leading to an Alouettes first down on BCกฏs 3-yard line and another touchdown for Marsh. Rainey took over for Rutley and scored on a 64-yard run on his first touch of the fourth quarter, and Brown recovered a fumble and returned it 103 yards with 10:59 remaining.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Green finished with a game-high 95 yards on seven catches. กญ BC QB Travis Lulay dressed but did not see action, with Partridge instead serving as Glennกฏs backup. กญ Montreal ended the regular season with a loss at Hamilton.
