DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for December 28
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 30.5 Points: MORE
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues to prove why he’s undoubtedly a Top-5 player. The Oklahoma City Thunder guard is putting up godly numbers, averaging 31.1 points, 6.1 assists, and 5.7 rebounds. SGA is also coming off a ridiculous performance, dropping 45 in a nail-biter win against the Pacers.
The Canadian has scored more than 30.5 points in three of his last four, also erupting for 41 a few days ago versus the lowly Wizards. OKC faces the Charlotte Hornets tonight, who are terrible defensively. Gilgeous-Alexander scored 31 in one appearance against them last season. He’ll ball out again.
Tyler Herro 24.5 Points: MORE
Tyler Herro has emerged as the main man for the Miami Heat, leading the squad with a career-high 23.8 points. He also just drained a game-winner on Thursday night against the Magic in a game where he ended up with 20 points.
While Herro has only scored more than 24.5 in two of his last eight appearances, there’s a reason I like this entry. The former Kentucky standout torched the Atlanta Hawks for 29.3 PPG in three outings last season. He’ll have his way with Atlanta again, especially with Jimmy Butler still out, which means more shots for Herro.
Bam Adebayo 5.5 Assists: MORE
Heat center Bam Adebayo is one of the best passing bigs in the Association. No, he’s not averaging double-digit dimes like The Joker, but he’s a solid playmaker. Adebayo is dishing out 4.9 assists per night and just had seven assists in back-to-back contests.
Again, with Butler sidelined, that means more opportunities for Bam, both scoring the rock and passing it. He averaged 5.8 assists per contest against the Hawks last season, too. I expect Adebayo to have another brilliant game as a facilitator.
Walker Kessler 10.5 Rebounds: MORE
At seven feet, Walker Kessler is obviously a force on the glass. He’s averaging 10.9 rebounds per game and continues to prove why he’ll be a pillar for the Utah Jazz franchise for many years to come. The former Auburn big man just destroyed the Blazers and Cavs on the boards, grabbing 16 rebounds in each of those games.
He’s brought down more than 10.5 rebounds in seven of his last 10 appearances and will face the Philadelphia 76ers tonight, who rank 29th in boards. With Joel Embiid questionable, Kessler will dominate the glass.
Zach LaVine 21.5 Points: LESS
Zach LaVine has been a very streaky player this season for the Chicago Bulls. While he’s still averaging a respectable 22.3 PPG, the guard either erupts for 30+ or stays under 20 points. He scored 37 on Thursday but scored less than 21.5 in back-to-back contests before that.
The Milwaukee Bucks limited LaVine to 14 points on December 23. And although he’s averaged 22 points against them in three appearances this season, it’s been rare lately where LaVine has played out of his mind in two consecutive games.
De'Aaron Fox 25.5 Points: MORE
De'Aaron Fox has been one of the few bright spots for the struggling Sacramento Kings this season, who surprisingly just fired head coach Mike Brown. The guard is averaging 26.2 points and has scored more than 25.5 in four of the last five.
Aside from that, the other reason I truly expect Fox to show out here is because he fouled Jaden Ivey beyond the arc on Thursday night, which resulted in Sacramento losing in the dying seconds to the Pistons. Fox took accountability for his mistake and he’ll be hungry to bounce back here. He is that type of player. He also scored more than 25.5 against the Los Angeles Lakers in back-to-back appearances earlier in the month.
