Saturday’s nine-game NBA slate is full of great values, but big men provide the best options for our player prop selections.
Karl-Anthony Towns will look to break out of his recent rebounding slump with a tremendous matchup against the Washington Wizards. Isaiah Hartenstein continues to impress, and his PRAs line hasn’t yet caught up to his production.
Finally, Anthony Davis will face a Sacramento Kings team that he’s had great success against this season.

NBA player props for December 28
Prop bet #1: Karl-Anthony Towns Over 13.5 rebounds
Only one team has allowed more rebounds per game than the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Karl-Anthony Towns faces them tonight. The big man has now gone four straight games with 10 or fewer rebounds, but he’s in a phenomenal spot to bounce back tonight.
Towns leads the Association in rebounds this season at 13.5, so an average night on the glass will be enough to cash this prop. He’s corralled at least 14 rebounds in 14 of 29 games this season, including 14 of his first 25 before hitting this mini-slump.
The New York Knicks big man is grabbing rebounds at a slightly higher rate on the road than at home this season, and he’s finished with at least 14 in eight games away from Madison Square Garden. I’ll take the Over here as Towns gets the best matchup available to opposing rebounders.
Prop bet #2: Isaiah Hartenstein Over 28.5 points+rebounds+assists
Isaiah Hartenstein is making the most of his expanded opportunity in Oklahoma City, averaging career highs across the board with 12.6 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists across 30.6 minutes.
He’s posted at least 29 PRAs in nine of 14 games this season, with a game of exactly 28 mixed in as well. The Hornets have allowed the fifth-most rebounds per game across the last five, giving Hartenstein a great opportunity to crash the glass and get second-chance buckets.
Hartenstein has grabbed at least 13 rebounds in eight of 14 games this season, and he’s done that in six of nine games on the road. He’s corralled 13 or more boards in two of his last three, and he averages 14 rebounds on the road compared to just 10.2 at home.
The big man is OKC’s only center, and he’s seeing big minutes and a huge workload. I’ll continue betting on his PRAs line until it rises according to his production. The -110 odds on this line offer a 52.38% implied probability, but he’s hit the Over in 64.3% of his appearances. That’s excellent value.
Prop bet #3: Anthony Davis Over 13.5 rebounds
Anthony Davis tweaked his ankle in the Los Angeles Lakers Christmas Day win over the Warriors, and he only logged seven minutes. He’s expected to play tonight, and I’ll happily take the Over on his rebounds prop.
The Lakers big man hit the Over on this one in three of four before getting injured on Christmas, including back-to-back games against the Sacramento Kings. Over his last eight against the Kings, AD has averaged 12.8 boards and gone for at least 14 in four of them. This season, he’s grabbed 15, 19, and 9 across three matchups.
Even if he gets the green light, Domantas Sabonis likely won’t be at 100%. He sat out Thursday and missed Friday’s practice due to illness and is questionable to face Los Angeles. If he sits, journeyman Alex Len and undersized stretch-five Trey Lyles will absorb his minutes, giving Davis a highly favorable matchup.
