The Left wants to ban gas burning stoves, but ... wait for it.... natural gas is the primary energy source for our "electricity." So, what's the point. 
Renewables will always be an "unreliable" form of energy, and should always be looked at as a "supplemental" form of energy. The effort from the left to make it a "primary" energy source is misguided, to say the least.
Unfortunately, MUGG, we here in CA have a special kind of stupid working for us, too.

I think you missed my reply to this deflective response earlier, and the actual message I made before the deflective reply. I never said I supported a ban, go show me with my own words where I said I supported a ban?
I said it is worth considering, investigating, finding out scientific data to quantify the issue. Sheesh dude I am not an elitist and FYI millions of people have solar arrays, it has nothing to do with political affiliation or wealth.

STUPID, would be to think that removing gas stoves (**IF** proven & CONFIRMED to be a health hazard) and replacing with electric necessarily means we can't use NG to heat homes. THAT dumb logic would be really stupid. Luckily nobody here leans that far to the right.

My point was that heating a home via electricity is impractical, and inefficient. And much like many of the half thought out schemes that particular party cooks up, there will be a negative effect on those who lack resources, i.e. money. Some won't know any different. Many newly constructed domiciles are already full electric but for those use to warning their homes with a natural gas furnace, used to cooking with a gas stove/range, they will be in for a ride awakening. The cost is exponential. Not to mention that most of these people are renters. So when their landlords are forced to install electric appliances, guess where the cost will be pushed? This is an solution to a nonexistent problem. And like most such things, while rich liberals are sitting around talking about what's best for the environment, or for the people, attending 10K a plate events, closing backroom deals with clean energy companies, it is the people that will bear the burden. I look at my buddy with his idiotic battery powered lawn tools and I just shake my head. Imagine some poor shmuck in the or back east with his $500 electric bill because it's -2 outside and he's trying to heat his house with electricity.
