It's just too funny. Let us ban gas powered leaf blowers, lawn mowers, gas stoves, etc., yet let's have trophy mansion homes, sometimes several, private jets, yachts, and let's create more and more unnecessary air travel.

Biden doesn't support banning gas stoves and Consumer product safety commission is not banning gas stoves according to fact checking by politifact, Washington post and New York times. No evidence of plans to seize gas stoves in homes.  However CPSC is seeking more information on emission hazards to health and global warming plus ways to reduce risks.  Any regulation would only apply to new products.  For Americans who choose to switch from gas to electric, Inflation reduction act offers $840 rebate.

I see that this did not age too well.  I guess the public outcry did some good, at least temporarily.

A comment about it:

I do trust the EPA and CDC. Example in point is the inaccurate information put out by the CDC during the recent pandemic. Further I will add this data once again.

Research OSHA regs. like I did before making the decision to go electric. Permissible Exposure Limits, PEL, for a 8 hour Time Weighted Allowance, TWA, for Benzene and NO2, Nitrogen Dioxide, per OSHA regulations are 10 ppm, parts per million, for Benzene, and 5 ppm for NO2. Read a story on Yahoo, out of NY, stating that it was found that gas stoves emitted 18 ppb, parts per billion. That is a significantly lower number than 5 ppm. As for the Benzene a gas stove emits, it was found that the amount of Benzene equaled to or less than that of a cigarette. Read another story on Yahoo out of Texas stating that when the stove was turned on it emitted something like 30 ppb NO2.  Still well below the OSHA PEL of 5 ppm.

As for safety:

According to a 2020 report by the NFPA, households with electric stoves reported fires at a rate 2.6 times higher than those with gas stoves. Equally staggering, the death rate of electric-run households was 3.4 times higher than those with gas appliances ¡ª and the injury rate was nearly five times greater.

All of this contrived hyperbole concerning gas stoves and appliances is nothing more than outright and deliberate misinformation being pushed from the progressive left in their crusade to get rid of fossil fuels.

I have never smelled a cow from Wisconsin in Michigan. And I traveled through Wisconsin last year. Beautiful state! Didn't smell of cows. Now when cow manure is being spread in Michigan it does have a pungent odor for sure but so do the human sewer plants I pass along the roads. Ever smell where they inject human waste in farmer's fields?? I have. Sugar beet processing plants are another nasty smell, ethenol plants too!
