Oh,it basically was not done, okay lets see if voters can get the pictures of it "basically happening" out of their heads when it's time to vote. And we'll see if they can stick something to trump,it ain't over yet.Ya i know "it's just something your not interested in",but I'll bet a lot of voters are still interested in it though. What you should of just said is,"I like to try to keep folks focused on one or two topics, and the topics where trump looks bad.Are not any of the ones,I like to focus on"
Yessir. It may not be over yet. But look at what all they have tried to stick so far, without much luck. But you are correct they will certainly keep trying. Unless, they have to switch their vitriol to DeSantis.
I read a good article about this today and the guy was drawing various political parallels and one of the things he said regarding this was:
"One of the lessons in the Samson story is that a man can still be used to achieve great things in spite of his glaring flaws."
But you are correct I prefer to stay on topic in a discussion because it helps streamline it.
But on that subject alone the Left and Media are inconsistent. They would do the same thing to a Pence or a Huckabee. It has nothing to do with how likable, moral, or kind to people a candidate on the Right is. That is not a consideration with them; they just use it to their benefit to put down an opposing candidate. They would never support a 'good-guy' candidate on the Right.
That is why I was not focused on that. It is a complete wheel-spinner.
I was more interested in what candidate(s) on the Right you would support: you say none, ever again, because of Trump and your perception of total support of him by the Republicans. This is flatly wrong. He does not have total support. So, why not support an Anti-Trump guy on the Right?
Then I wanted to know why if you were able to vote for Republican candidates before (this assumes some support of their 'values' that you keep bringing up) -- but could not overlook any of Trump's flaws. You say, no.
I respect your opinions. I just wish you would reconsider your stances. No point in letting one man and his actions get to you that way. But I get that some folks cannot get past that and their convictions are not stable. No big deal. I was just hoping for a more in-depth answer. It just seems limited and narrow in your replies.
But I, for sure, know some Never-Trumpers on the Right. But there were some Never-McCain, Never-Romney voters as well.
You do not see nearly as much of this on the Left. They are much more convicted and united.
This is a problem the Right has to solve. They need consistency and unity -- they do not have either -- let alone a viable alternative to Trump.
