If you still can't determine what my reasoning is for not voting for him after all this time and everything I've written, then I don't know what to tell you.
The first time, maybe. The third time, yes.
The second time, not really. I would like that time explained in more detail.
Can you do that for me. The rest I can understand -- whether I agree with it or not is a separate issues.
Please try to explain to me in slow-motion the second time. Thanks!

I will probably not be around tomorrow Raider, until late at night.I think I'm gonna take my 4 year old nephews son,to his 1st Cub's game.Ha,so please don't bombard me with a bunch of long replies to what I wrote tonight,I was finally able to catch up with all the other posts from tonight.
Nice!! I tried to shorten and break them up somewhat.
No rush. You can let all of the rest go -- never will see eye to eye on that or understand it. But when you have time answer the last issue, please. Thanks.
Have fun and make sure you get pictures of him at his first game to enjoy later!
My nephew at his first NHL game and CFL game were very nice to see for the whole family!

You said a classic definition of a conman is someone who dupes someone into giving them money, and with that as the definition your using.Tell me how when I was calling trump a conman,it didn't apply. How many other so-called billionaires are out there begging for money 24-7?
Do tell me why the wall wasn't built and paid for by Mexico. And I'd love to hear the reasoning at to why in 4 years he never even came out with a healthcare plan.Or are we just gonna say "Well if he had built a wall or installed a new healthcare plan the Left and the media would of said they were a BAD thing and not a GOOD thing",so let's just not even try to do them.So his plan all along was to talk bad about the healthcare plan we had,but to never come up with a plan that was better?Gotcha,ya he sounds like a real leader there. The reason "This sort of thing is not done to Biden",is probably because Biden never ran on coming up with a better healthcare plan,or having Mexico pay for the wall.
And you really think him saying "fight like hell or you won't have a country anymore",was his way of saying rally up and get better candidates,c'mon guy.No he never said the exact words to violently storm the capitol. But wasn't trump the one who didn't want any metal detectors outside the capitol Jan 6th,sure sounds like he wanted things even worse then what they turned out to be.He was promoting "Stop the Steal",having this protest on the day the certifying of the electoral votes was happening, and they arranged for fake electors to by-pass the electors who were going to certify Biden's win.And he kept telling and pressuring pence not to certify the results. And it just so happens his supporters storm the capitol that day,how convenient for him that it all happened on that day.It doesn't matter if I thought he meant to violently storm the capitol that day,a lot of people who are now in jail for violently storming the capitol on that day,say that's what they thought he meant.Funny I haven't heard 1 of them say that they thought he meant "let's rally up and get better candidates".Of course "you do not see it as extreme as it has been portrayed",because if you admit that, then your boy trump would be a traitor to this country. We can't get a lot of "direct quotes',because most of the government people involved in what happened that day, will not go under oath to tell what they know about that day.Why wouldn't they want the truth out there about what happened that day?

I saw one quote about this that applies to the way folks look at these things. It is partisan-viewing at its best.Whether you classify it as a fundraiser for campaigns or not, people see politicians do this and condemn the other side no matter what the cause or reason:
¡°Like the Clintons with their Clinton Foundation, right?¡±
So, if you want to call him or any other politician a ¡®conman¡¯ because of this. Not a big deal to me.I am not a Trump guy so I would not really call him, ¡®my boy¡¯ Trump.I see him more of ¡®your boy¡¯ Trump because you have really become agitated by him to the point that it is unreasonable.A lot of the Media and the Left have also found him to be their Bogeyman ¡ª they see him around every corner and as a scapegoat to blame everything on.They absolutely want Trump to win the Republican nomination.
Trump is far more their ¡®boy¡¯ than most on the Right. Most on the Right would rather another Republican run.Again, and again, and again ¡ª there just is not another candidate. So, by default and by past experience some will support Trump, not as their ¡®boy¡¯¡ª but for sure to vote against Biden and the far-Left agenda. They simply must.
I would counter that more on the Right detest the Far-left agenda and the past Democratic Presidents than vice-versa.But you do not see this extreme ¡®fascination¡¯, especially after the guys have left office, from the Right. They do a better job of trying to move on.

Let me ask you how much research have you done on this? Any at all?
When you take, or teach, debating you will learn one of the best things to do is to understand the other side and what their arguments would be.
What are the arguments here for why this did not get done? Do you know of any? How Ould you counter them?
The Left always bring these issues up as if they really wanted them to be accomplished; they did not. So, why do they not point out any of the things that were done? Because it is a classic self-defeating argument. It makes them look desperate. They do NOT want a wall or illegals stopped; they do not want another healthcare plan or even the current one scrapped.
I can only think of one President that accomplished all of his 'announced' plans during his term in office. No one on the Left is openly critical of Democrats for not doing EVER SINGLE thing they said they would do when they ran for office.

Again, we are not going to agree on any of this because you are clouded in your fascination and opinion on Trump.
Not a big deal -- a lot more folks are. You can see this all over this forum here.
My question I still would like you to answer remains the same: After having voted for Republicans in the past, why did you not consider voting for Trump the second time around?
That is why I started this whole interaction here when you stated you had voted Republican before. You must, at least at one time, liked the platform, agenda, and results of a Republican President. So, after the RESULTS of Trump in office, why not then consider voting for him? I get the first and third time but am very interested in the second time.
Unless it is purely because of his personal traits and you cannot see past those for better results for the country?
This is my only concern here, the rest is simply palaver to me.

You can drop whatever you want as far as Jan 6th being " more agenda driven",I'll stick with my thoughts that the whole agenda was to overturn the election results.I notice you never mention anything about why they would of arranged for fake electors,if all he wanted to do was pump up his supporters to "rally up and get better candidates"?

I don't plan on taking,or teaching debating. The left didn't bring up these issues, trump ran on these issues.Did you think Mexico was going to pay for the wall like trump said,or did you know it was complete bull shit?If you don't want to or can't tell me why he didn't have Mexico pay to build the wall,or why he didn't come up with a healthcare plan after bitching about the current one we had for 4 years, then don't sweat it.I'm pretty sure I know why it didn't happen, and it had absolutely nothing to do with the left. And do tell me,who is that 1 President who according to you, accomplished all of his announced plans during his term in office?

Ya I'm the one with the clouded fascination.I did not vote for trump the 2nd time, because i would never vote for trump.
The game wasn't to good of a day for the Cubs ,ha might as well get the kid used to their losing ways, early on in his life. But the weather was beautiful and we hopped a couple trains to get down there, and for some reason the kid is fascinated with trains,so he liked that part of it.And he loves seeing the tall buildings,so all in all it was a really good day. Thanks for asking.

@Raiders22 I don't plan on taking,or teaching debating.
Yes. But my point is the Left and Coulter are basically the only ones that continue to harp on them ad nauseam. Do you ever ask why that is?
If you are sincerely interested there are links online explaining these in particular. I can send you some if you cannot find them.
I am different on those issues. I would not build a wall. The correct policies and enforcement would work and we saw some of that when Trump was in office.
I would drop the Obamacare altogether, new plan or not, etc.
Illegal immigration and healthcare are HUGE issues. But Trump was solidly handcuffed on those issues, so why do the Left not talk about what he did accomplish? Because it is another way for them to try to tear him down and try to make fun of him. I do not know too many on the Right that take huge issue with this knowing the obvious roadblocks he faced.
Even if he ran on those two issues -- he cannot be blamed for NOT accomplishing them.
Polk is the only President that is generally acknowledged to have largely accomplished all he wanted to accomplish and all that he basically ran on.

Ya I'm the one with the clouded fascination.I did not vote for trump the 2nd time, because i would never vote for trump.
Gotcha, just cannot overlook his personal traits -- no matter the good he did while in office. Fair enough, I cannot understand that particular animus or whether it is justifiable. But cool enough.

Nice! Yes, a lot of boys LOVE trains.
Their fans have some of the most loyal and dedicated fans, despite the losing ways. I always say to most fans championships are way overrated but when a winning team comes along they really savor it way more!
Very glad to see it when baseball is passed on to young fans. Nowadays, baseball is not as big with the young as it used to be.
Keep taking him!

Someone who dupes somebody into giving them money. If that's the definition, then that's exactly what trump is,a conman.Talk about someone's judgement being clouded.
No I do not agree that there are no good republican candidates,it's just that somehow you guys keep picking trump as your candidate, that's your guys fault.Case in point, they haven't even had the 1st primary in Iowa and your already conceding that the only guy you deem worthy of even being considered for your vote,is the guy who lost the last election by 7 million votes. And he lost by 7 million, even before the whole country saw him lead an attack trying to overturn our election results,do you think that will make him do better this time around?

So, I would drop this as it is just more agenda-driven than evidential.
I notice again you still never mention why they would of arranged for fake electors to not certify Biden's victory. If all trump wanted to do that day,was to get people to "rally up and get better candidates",did he need fake electors to try and get people to rally up?

Last year I took him to the beach's downtown a lot,and the part he likes the most is the train. You can tell he loves it just by looking at him,we go up to the upper level and he's sitting up in his seat, just checking out what's going on outside the window, smiling the whole time.Usually he can't sit still for more then 2 seconds,on the train it's like he's a totally different kid.
Ya the Cubbie faithful are definitely pretty loyal. And it is definitely a fun atmosphere going down there to see a game, with all the bars around the area, and just all the people out and about. The poor White Sox try as hard as they can,but will never have the same aura around attending a game,it's just not the same.

Not ¡®you guys¡¯. It is just what it is. Trust me, if there were some that could beat Trump they would have been selected by now. There are too many on the Right that do NOT want Trump. You guys are the ones that are making sure he is at the forefront in every single issue. Who are the other good Republicans that can beat him AND Biden? Name any. You keep saying that. But without a drastic reversal by a lot of folks like YOU that have voted Republican before there will not be any. By default we are stuck with Trump.
