Im in a state of shock. Fuck gambling. Was on the run of a lifetime and just torched it all in a blaze of hatred. Money management is key. Just quit gambling folks. This shit is backed by the devil himself. I have often wondered if this is hell we are in.

Run away Brother ....Without money management investing in sports wagering will burn you over and over again..I'd say less than 5% of us bettors practice money management ....So many other things to invest in that offer guaranteed return...
Get out while you can

I just responded to you in another thread. I had no idea the amount. You have to take a few days. Clear your head. One PI flag. I missed extra point. I 57 yard FG. It always seems to come down to the last play on these PRIMETIME games. I feel for you brother. Best of luck. Be safe.

What do you mean "blaze of hatred"?
Add up the numbers on a roulette wheel...
You're living in a hell until you admit defeat and seek counselling for your gambling addiction...you are helpless and require medical intervention...you could turn your life around and have many good years ahead of you if you take this advice seriously.

What did you do? Lay the entire 20K on the Bills -6?? dude that¡¯s reckless. Why would you throw it all away on a Yolo wager like that? 2.5K is a reasonable bet with a 20k bank roll.

I think he may have layed it on the ML or a live wage? Or multiple wages to chase?
either ways sometimes we let our emotions get the best of our gambling motives. Sometimes it¡¯s better to leave it as a no bet or just accept the loss. Either ways step away for a bit and come back stronger.

20K. $200. $20. Its all relative. Who cares what the man bet? He lost a ton of money. We have all been there. Stop with the sanctimonious BS. He is a bad spot. I feel for you BRO. The key is time. Time to clear your head. It will get better with time.

Hey bro I have lost close to 45k past 2 weeks walk away that's the best thing you can do.. after you lose a big bet like this you always want to make it back in one strike not going to happen.. you are not thinking straight, you doubt your choices etc .. you can make it back to lose again until you fix the underlying problem which is money management is easily said than done.. just do something else than gambling next few weeks it will help you from further hole.

Cheer up mate . Step away to clear your head . Observe the forums or try to cap games without physically putting money on them to see if you can get a good feel on games before you head back into action .
Don't sulk in the losses just use it as a reminder not to play so heavily in this anymore . Play in small increments if you do decide to return and just have fun with this . I realized after almost 15 years of up and down swings that you need to hold the reins when gambling , don't let the oddsmakers, big high roller bettors , long shot winners etc take control of your discipline .

There was a dark time in my life when I went on an NFL gambling binge, lost an obscene amount of money, I was so deep under water that any deeper and I probably discover new marine life. I didn¡¯t have any funds left to lose. I was so down, so depressed and borderline suicidal.
I hated myself. I would walk into the Casino restrooms after a MNF loss and talk to myself in the mirror- ¡°you lowlife degenerate bastard¡± ¡° what are you fcuking doing to yourself¡± YOU'RE better than this¡±
Ive gotten much better at money mgmt. in the past if my original bet fell apart, I would double down at half time and or chase a live bet in the 4th qtr. end result? Down 3,4x more than my initial bet.
Now, if I just bet 1 unit. That¡¯s it. I win great, I lose, I¡¯m down a unit. On to the next game.

Man when you bet crazy like that, you don't give yourself margin for error. You have to give yourself some margin for error IE (Losing) said bet. I don't care how good you are a capping, any game can end up being a loser. If you bet it all on 1 game, you "Have to win" that game. It's a no way out situation. It's like living in a house and there's only 1 way in and 1 way out. So if a fire is blocking the entrance you're screwed. You wouldn't live in a house like that right? So don't do your bankroll like that. Nobody is perfect, even Michael Jordan lost games in series in the Playoffs, but in the end he got 6 rings, but he did lose games even in the playoffs.
This line of thinking stopped me from doing stupid all in bets, or betting wayyy to big.

Dayem, this is like a GA meeting.. (Gamblers anonymous)
To the original poster, yes this IS our personal "little" Hell. The sad fact is, we willingly chose to return to it time and time again. I too have blown a substantial portion of my life's savings when I was younger and discovered this "drug." Take the advice of

Its all up to you. Nobody is forcing you to bet and bet THAT large. You'd better learn quick because if you don't, you'll be making the same mistake over and over. A personal Hell that you willingly visit on a daily basis...
"Schrödinger's bet." A bet that loses when you bet it but wins when you DON'T bet it...

Thrill betting is an addiction just like booze, drugs or sex. You build a "tolerance" and need to bet higher and higer. You have delusions of grandeur. It won't stop. You could go 29-4 and lose money. I barely bet any games this Sunday because nothing lined up on my computer with the numbers and no really good trends or spots. Only the Ravens fit because Chargers wete at tgeir market high getting lucky betting the Browns and Ravens were very undervalued but I was worried about Herbert so a small bet. My numbers said Browns but I am not betting against the undefeated Cardinals GETTING points vs always disappointing Brownies. NFL is becoming more high scoring like college football. After watching the Eagles somehow beat me on my Bucs bet and having a 50-50 cillege day with Kentucky calling timeouts for a worthless TD with 3 seconds left vs Georgia I was good. I eanted to bet undervalued Utah @ home vs overrated ASU but decided I didn't need the stress because there are always games the next day. Good Luck but just watching games can be just as enjoyable but better yet go out and do something, anything. Look at gamblers for the most point they are not healthy peiple mentality or physicality.

Not to get into what bets were made, but lots of Bills ML cleaned up...HARD. Sucks, man. I know that feeling all so well too. One of the worst feelings is losing more in 3 hours than what you've earned/make in a month, then coming into work the next morning. Being a single guy is slightly easier and less burden, but if you have family, then please reconsider the affects it could have. BOL moving forward
