I'm getting ready to lock in for my semi annual jouney westward Oct. 3rd,,The Golden Nugget is always my fav place to hang my hat and this trip will be no exception - should be a great week with sunday & monday nite football,,college football all week starting that tuesday with a big sun belt matchup featuring Troy  and MTSU, on top of that the baseball playoffs start that tuesday so gaming oppurtunites will be everywhere, everyday. The Nugget features a top shelf spa for me to get some gym time in by day and of course the sauna-steam-whirlpool set up is simply fantastic. And of course anyone who seen any of  my posts here on Covers knows I will find my way into Vic & Anthonys a nite or two for the worlds finest lamb chops,,with about 2 months to go the countdown begins.~~~~~~~~~sweet~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Will be eating breakfest there at the nuggett on the 16th of sept. for my football trip. I am staying on the strip but love going downtown to walk though the sportsbooks, check out the numbers , run over to nuggett for a breakfest where I always play and lose at keno. Stop at Don Yeyo cigar shop for some cigars at the downtown location, then hop on the bus to get to the hotel I will be staying at. I hope your trip is great time, and good luck wagering this season.

while I always enjoy a bite over at carsons cafe I have found Magnolias right next door at the four queens is every bit as good if not better for breakfast,,huge portions and better prices,, may want to check them out, I think you will enjoy that stop as well - great food at fantastic prices over at Main Street Station for happy hour (3-6) the wings are delish

Thank You for the tip, will check them out. Last year when out their with my buddy, ate breakfest at the nuggett, he went to play at the binions porker room, I stopped and play craps for about all of five minutes. Won a little, which cover breakfest,which was my turn to pay, had enough for a few cigars, and the bus ticket, all day pass, to get me to the strip and finally lunch. So I had a great start to the moring. Once again have fun on your trip.

you do the same cuba - keep me posted on whats up and enjoy your time in heaven on earth - that bus sure is crawler isnt it--stops every time before it get started, they do stop at the "pawn wars" shop if you enjoy that show on history channel, lots or really neat stuff in there if you have a sec to jump off and check it out--enjoy,,and may all your picks be winners

thinkin about seeing the "Love" show,,got a nice offer for LeReve at the Wynn - anybody have any thoughts on one show vs. the other - thanks fellas

sweet,,magnolias is tasty for that first meal of the day as well,,have you ever tried the pullman over at main street station ?- I hear good things, always enjoy your thoughts as it quite apperent you know the in's and out's of the valley

fav spot for me for sure- love the spa set-up,,the pool is awesome,,albeit a bit crowded from time to time and love the food choices - mainly vic & Anthonys and great Italian at Grotto - going to check out Love or LeReve (undecided right now) a trip down to the pawn shop that is the home to the TV show 'Pawn Stars" and of course daily gaminp options - starting to get really pumped up as I'm about 6 weeks out - how sweet it is

nc1capper-  i will be arriving on the 7th at the Nugget.  Definitely gonna try the lamb chops!!!  cant wait.  just curious what the avg. price per plate is at Vics?  50 days and counting. . .

jagerbomb - cant remember exact price,,somewhere in the 35 to 40 dollar range , well worth it, get one of the big house salads with it,,Grotto is quite tasty also,,this time of year they will probably issue you a 250 dollar coupon book as well - when it comes down to buffet time head over to Main Street Station right around the corner, hate to report this but there buffet is much better than the GN's - enjoy your time Sir, may all your plays be winners

nc1capper - I have seen both shows and they are both very good.  The love show was above average and if your a beatles dude, you'll like it even more.  As for LeReve, it's a water show which is above average too.  I think I liked Love a little more, however, you can't go wrong with either one.

Spa tower at GN has some of the best suites in vegas.  That was always a classy hotel. I used to go there all the time when stefanos and elaines were still open. Those were the restaurants in the place. named after steve and elaine wynn.

For all you  guys in the sportsbook there is a supervisor there, a pretty blonde. Her name is Dorothy or something, she is the supervisor right below Tony the director. She is really nice and her boyfriend is none other then Jimmy Vaccaro. The line maker for the mirage for a decade and still a top linemaker in the business. he pops in their all the time and is a real good guy. if you are there on a football weekend you may see him, if you do ask him for a hot tip. He knows what ALL the sharps are betting and he is quite generous to casual bettors with the info.

Sorry, guy...you have me stumped on that one....there are places down there that I have passed; but honestly don't do Mex or Tex/Mex downtown....My favorite, they have 4 locations, is Lindo Michoacan....

I do think that Gonzalez y Gonzalez at New York - New York has the best salsa in all of Nevada.
