Chad Henne threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns as the Miami Dolphins ran their road record to 5-1 with a 33-17 victory over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.
Henne, whose status was in question due to a recurring knee injury, finished 17 for 30. Ricky Williams rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries and Ronnie Brown added 85 yards on 24 carries for the Dolphins.
Oakland native Davone Bess had six catches for 111 yards for Miami, which held the Raiders (5-6) to only 16 yards rushing. Darren McFadden had seven catches for 63 yards for Oakland, but was held to two yards rushing on eight carries.
Jacoby Ford (108 yards receiving) and Louis Murphy (73) each had four receptions for Oakland, which turned the ball over three times. Ford also returned the opening kickoff 101 yards for a touchdown.
Raiders quarterback Bruce Gradkowski completed 17 of 32 passes for 252 yards and a touchdown, but was intercepted twice.
Miami (6-5) opened the third quarter with a five-play, 72-yard drive capped by a 57-yard touchdown pass from Henne to Marlon Moore to take a 20-14 lead.
A 44-yard field goal by Dan Carpenter after the Dolphins held the Raiders without a first down on their next possession extended Miamiกฏs lead to 23-14 with 8:51 remaining in the third quarter.
Following a 30-yard field goal by Oakland's Sebastian Janikowski with 10:57 left, Carpenter capped a 13-play drive with a 25-yard field goal.
Oakland's next drive ended at its own 46 when a pass from Gradkowski fell incomplete, and the Dolphins sealed the victory two plays later when Williams broke free for a 45-yard touchdown to make it 33-17 with 3:12 to play.
