Jets 20, Steelers 13: Michael Vick threw a pair of touchdown passes as host New York snapped its eight-game slide by stifling Pittsburgh's offense.
Vick went 10-of-18 for 132 yards without turning over the ball while the Jets (2-8) forced four turnovers. Jaiquawn Jarrett recorded a sack, recovered a fumble and made a pair of interceptions while Eric Decker recovered Pittsburgh's onside-kick attempt with 1:15 remaining to seal it for New York.
Ben Roethlisberger, who set an NFL record with six touchdown passes in each of the previous two games, went 30-of-43 for 343 yards and a score while being intercepted twice for the Steelers (6-4). Shaun Suisham connected on a career-best 53-yard field goal at the end of the second quarter but missed from 23 as Pittsburgh had its three-game winning streak come to an end.
The Jets ate up 7:52 on the opening drive and settled for a field goal but needed only 10 seconds on their second drive as Vick went deep over the middle to T.J. Graham for a 67-yard TD and a 10-0 lead. Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown fumbled on the next play from scrimmage and Vick scrambled for a first down deep in Pittsburgh territory before firing a 5-yard scoring pass to Jace Amaro to cap a 17-point first quarter.
Roethlisberger was intercepted on the opening drive of the third quarter and New York tacked on a 30-yard field goal by Nick Folk with 4:34 left in the period to make it a three-score game. The Jets were called for back-to-back personal fouls on Vick and coach Rex Ryan when the game appeared to be over inside two minutes remaining, and the resulting punt led to Roethlisbergerกฏs 80-yard TD to Martavis Bryant with 1:16 to play.
