The loss spoiled another strong effort by Tyler Gaffney, who had 24 carries for 158 yards and two touchdowns. Hogan completed 14-of-25 passes for 127 yards with two interceptions for Stanford (8-2, 6-2), which tied the game at 17 on Gaffneyกฏs 18-yard touchdown run midway through the third quarter.

USC, which led 17-10 at the break after the teams exchanged field goals in the second quarter, won despite being held to 23 rushing yards on 27 attempts. The Trojans snapped a four-game losing streak against Stanford, which entered the game ranked fourth in the BCS standings.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Former Stanford player Jonathan Martin, the key figure in the Miami Dolphins bullying controversy, watched the game from the Cardinal sideline. กญ Stanfordกฏs Conrad Ukropina had a 30-yard field-goal attempt blocked by USC offensive tackle Chad Wheeler midway through the third quarter. กญ Heidari bounced back after missing a field-goal try and an extra-point attempt in last weekกฏs 62-28 win over California.
