Louisiana 44, New Mexico State 16: Terrance Broadway threw three touchdowns and Elijah McGuire rushed for 136 yards and a score as the visiting Ragin' Cajuns rolled past the Aggies.
Broadway threw for 158 yards and connected with Jared Johnson for two scores for Louisiana (6-3, 5-0 Sun Belt), which became bowl eligible for the fourth consecutive year. Effrem Reed and Darius Hoggins each rushed for a score as the Ragin' Cajuns handed the Aggies their eighth straight loss.
Tyler Rogers was 19-of-34 for 204 yards and one touchdown with three interceptions for New Mexico State (2-8, 1-5), which took an early 3-0 lead before Louisiana responded with 28 consecutive points. Teldrick Morgan led the Aggies with eight catches for 117 yards and a score while Xavier Hall rushed for 47 yards, including a late 5-yard touchdown.
Broadway capped a 7:08 drive with a 5-yard TD pass to Johnson late in the first quarter and the Ragin' Cajuns took a 21-3 lead into the half following rushing touchdowns by McGuire and Reed. McGuire recorded his third straight 100-yard rushing game on a career-high 26 carries.
Rogers threw a 42-yard TD strike to Morgan to cut the deficit to 30-9 midway through the third quarter, but Louisiana responded early in the fourth quarter with two quick scores. Johnson caught a 9-yard TD pass from Broadway and Hoggins followed with a 3-yard run for his first career touchdown.
