Florida 38, No. 8 Georgia 20: Kelvin Taylor rushed for a career-best 197 yards and two touchdowns while Matt Jones also set a career high with 192 rushing yards while scoring twice as the Gators routed the Bulldogs in SEC play at Jacksonville, Fla.
Michael McNeely scored on a fake field-goal run that ignited a run of 31 consecutive points for Florida (4-3, 3-3). The Gators rolled up 418 rushing yards จC fifth-most in school history จC while snapping a three-game skid in the all-time series against Georgia.
Nick Chubb rushed for 156 yards and one score while also catching a TD pass for the Bulldogs (6-2, 4-2). Hutson Mason was 26-of-41 for 319 yards and a scoring toss for Georgia, which had its five-game winning streak halted.
Chubb scored on a 39-yard run less than six minutes into the game to give the Bulldogs the lead before the Gators took over. Momentum turned when Florida lined up for a 39-yard field goal and McNeely, the holder, took the snap and ran 21 yards for a TD with 8:25 left in the first half to forge a tie.
Taylorกฏs 2-yard touchdown rush with 5:06 left in the half gave the Gators a 14-7 lead and Jones tacked on a 44-yard scoring run early in the third quarter. Jones scored from 1 yard out early in the fourth to make it 31-7 and the Bulldogs added Masonกฏs 10-yard TD pass to Chubb before Taylor put an exclamation point on the big victory by running for a 65-yard touchdown with 2:11 remaining.
