scored 24 of the next 27 points - including two Boykin-to-Doctson TDs - to go up by 14 late in the first quarter. Lauderdale's
56-yard touchdown catch in the final minute of the quarter
pulled Texas Tech within seven, but Boykin found Gray from 24 yards out and
Jaden Oberkrom kicked a pair of field goals to increase the lead to 17 by
halftime.
TCU erupted for 24 points in the
first 7:09 of the third quarter, a stretch highlighted by Gray's 92-yard touchdown catch and Ty
Slanina's 57-yard reception for a score, to turn the game into a rout. Boykin's seventh TD pass - a 12-yard toss to Emanuel Porter - made it 68-27 at the end of the third, and Johnson's two scoring runs in the fourth helped the Frogs set the school record for points in
a game, as well as the most by an FBS school this season.
