No. 20 South Carolina 27, No. 7 Missouri 24 (2 OT): Connor Shaw came off the bench to rally the visiting Gamecocks in the second half and Missouri's Andrew Baggett missed a 24-yard field goal in the second overtime as the Tigers suffered their first loss.
Shaw completed 20-of-29 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns in the second half and overtime to lead South Carolina (6-2, 4-2 SEC) back from a 17-0 deficit entering the fourth quarter.
Redshirt freshman Maty Mauk was just 10-of-25 for 249 yards with a touchdown and an interception in his second start for Missouri (7-1, 3-1). Marcus Murphy added 53 yards and two touchdowns on the ground while Henry Josey rushed for 79 yards for the Tigers.
Dylan Thompson started at quarterback for the Gamecocks in place of Shaw, who was expected to sit out with a knee injury, but Shaw took over after South Carolina's first possession of the second half and led three scoring drives to force overtime. Following a 6-yard touchdown pass to Bruce Ellington with 12:13 to play and a short field goal with 5:03 left, Shaw's 2-yard scoring strike to Nick Jones with 42 seconds remaining sent the game into OT.
The Tigers needed only four plays to score a touchdown in the first overtime and forced the Gamecocks into fourth-and-long before allowing Shaw to find Ellington for a 15-yard touchdown pass to tie it. Elliott Fry hit a 40-yard field goal for South Carolina in the second overtime, and the Tigers had first-and-goal from the 9 before having to settle for a field-goal try, which hit the left upright.
