Wisconsin 38, Purdue 14: Heisman candidate Montee Ball ran all over the Boilermakers for 247 yards in a record-setting performance that saw him set the all-time Big Ten mark for touchdowns.
Ball scored three times in the win and established new conference and school records with his 72nd touchdown, besting former Badgers great Ron Dayne in the record books. Ball is now two shy of former Miami (Ohio) back Travis Prentice's FBS scoring record.
Purdueกฏs Akeem Hunt scored on an 81-yard run with 1:39 left in the game in what was otherwise a slow day for the Boilermakersกฏ attack. Boilermakers quarterback Caleb TerBush was held to just 80 yards passing with a rushing score and an interception.
Wisconsin (5-2, 2-1 Big Ten) dominated the game on both sides of the ball with 647 total yards of offense while holding Purdue (3-3, 0-2) to just 252 total yards. The Badgers compiled an impressive 471 yards on the ground.
GAME NOTEBOOK: With the win Wisconsin takes commanding control of the Leaders division as both Ohio State and Penn State are ineligible for postseason play this year. กญ The Badgers host Minnesota next week at Camp Randall Stadium while Purdue heads to Ohio State.
