Oregon State 27, No. 19 UCLA 20: Sean Mannion threw for a career-high 379 yards and two touchdowns as the Beavers pulled off their second upset of a ranked team in as many games.
Brandin Cooks finished with 175 yards receiving and Markus Wheaton added 150 more for the Beavers (2-0, 1-0 Pac-12), who also defeated then-No. 13 Wisconsin at home two weeks ago.
Mannion staked the Beavers to a 17-3 advantage midway through the second quarter on long scoring strikes of 75 yards to Cooks and 42 yards to Wheaton.
UCLA (3-1, 0-1) rallied with a long touchdown right before intermission and moved within one score again early in the fourth to answer Storm Woodsกฏ first career touchdown, but Trevor Romaineกฏs 17-yard field goal on the next drive dashed any hopes the Bruins had of overcoming their 27-17 deficit.
Early Heisman Trophy hopeful RB Johnathan Franklin was held to just 45 yards on 12 carries for UCLA, which was denied a 4-0 start for the first time since 2005.
