Louisiana-Monroe 34, No. 10 Arkansas 31 (OT): Kolton Browning scrambled 16 yards for the game-winning touchdown in overtime as Louisiana-Monroe stunned No. 10 Arkansas.
Browning, who set school marks for completions and attempts early in the fourth quarter, called his own number for the win on fourth-and-1 and with the Warhawks trailing by three points. He finished 42-of-68 through the air for 412 yards and three touchdowns.
Arkansas, which played the second half without its All-America candidate Tyler Wilson at quarterback, led 28-7 in the third quarter before the Warhawks began their comeback. Backup redshirt freshman Brandon Allen took the last snap of the first half and Wilson never returned from the locker room after halftime.
Allen started strong, moving the Razorbacks (1-1) 67 yards on eight plays and tossing a 13-yard score to Mekale McKay on Arkansasกฏ first possession of the third quarter.
After that, it was all Warhawks. They moved with relative ease against the Arkansas defense throughout the game, and tied the game with a 23-yard pass from Browning to Brent Leonard on fourth-and-10 with 47 seconds left.
Wilson was 11-for-20 for 196 yards in the first half for Arkansas. Allen finished 6-of-20 for 85 yards and one interception.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Louisiana-Monroe, which entered the game as a 30-point underdog, had never beaten a ranked team. กญ The Warhawksกฏ last win over an SEC team came in 2007, 21-14, over Alabama. กญ The Warhawks were successful on six of seven fourth-down conversions, including the tying and winning touchdowns. กญ Arkansas will host No. 1 Alabama next week.
