Lions 29, Tiger-Cats 26: Quarterback Travis Lulay completed 26-of-36 passes for his first 300-yard game of the season, tossing three touchdowns and running for another as host BC cooled off Hamilton.
Lulay, who threw for 359 yards, connected with wide receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux for 113 yards and a touchdown, while slotback Shawn Gore and wide receiver Marco Iannuzzi also caught touchdowns for the Lions (6-3), who improved to 5-0 at home. BCกฏs defence swarmed Tiger-Cats quarterback Henry Burris all game, sacking the veteran pivot five times.
Burris was 29-for-36 passing for 352 yards, two touchdowns and one interception for Hamilton (4-5), which saw its three-game winning streak come to an end. Wide receivers Bakari Grant and Greg Ellingson both caught touchdowns, while short-yardage quarterback Dan LeFevour ran for a 1-yard score.
Lulayกฏs 2-yard rush with six minutes remaining gave the Lions a 10-point cushion after the teams traded touchdowns in the third quarter. BC cornerback Dante Marsh intercepted Burris 2:25 later, but Hamilton defensive lineman Brian Bulcke recovered a fumble shortly after to set up a desperate Tiger-Cats drive that ended in a 2-yard toss to Ellingson with 25 seconds left. The Lions recovered the ensuing onside kick to seal the game.
Lulay found Gore for 5 yards to give BC the lead after one quarter. Burris connected with Bakari Grant for 14 yards to tie the game 6:42 into the second, but it was short-lived as Arceneaux caught an 80-yard touchdown toss from Lulay on the next play from scrimmage to re-establish the Lionsกฏ advantage.
