Latest NHL MVP odds update
11/20/2024: Kirill Kaprizov is doing enough in the eyes of those who matter to stay as the favorite for this year's Hart Trophy. The Wild winger has 33 points in 18 games and trails MacKinnon by only one for the league lead. Watch out for McJesus though as he's piled up 14 points over his last six games.
Previous NHL MVP betting action
11/13/2024: Similar to the Stanley Cup odds board, the Hart Trophy race is a total mess. Connor McDavid has fallen from grace, with studs like Nathan MacKinnon, Kirill Kaprizov, and even Nikita Kucherov surpassing him. McDavid has recorded seven points in his last two games, so it may be only a matter of time before he's back on top, but Kaprizov and MacKinnon won't give up the mantle so easily.
11/6/2024: Despite still being injured, books like DraftKings and FanDuel haven't budged on the Oilers' superstar. He still remains their favorite, although Sports Interaction has bumped Nikita Kucherov into the top spot. Nathan MacKinnon has also found himself in the Top 3.
10/31/2024: An injury to Connor McDavid has blown this award wide open. Nikita Kucherov remains in the second spot, even tied for the top spot at DraftKings. McDavid's odds also jumped from the +160 range to as long as +360. With the Oilers' captain out, the time is now for players to make a compelling case on why they are the MVP.
10/30/2024: An injury to Connor McDavid has blown this award wide open. Nikita Kucherov remains in the second spot, even tied for the top spot at DraftKings. McDavid's odds also jumped from the +160 range to as long as +360. With the Oilers' captain out, the time is now for players to make a compelling case on why they are the MVP.
10/22/2024: Nikita Kucherov has been a force to start the season, tallying a league-best seven goals through his first five games. His odds have jumped from +2,000 to +400 at DraftKings, but he's still trailing Connor McDavid. Artemi Panarin has also played his way into the Top 5.
10/8/2024: This market should finally start to see some movement in October, with regular-season action underway. Connor McDavid is the heavy favorite, while McKinnon is as high as +650 to go back-to-back.
9/23/2024: This market has unsurprisingly remained stagnant throughout the offseason. Regular season action is just weeks away, meaning we should see some action sooner rather than later. As a shock to nobody, Connor McDavid is a hefty fave amongst the league's elite.
7/30/2024: Unexpectedly, little movement has happened over the first month of the offseason. Connor McDavid remains the heavy favorite with MacKinnon and Matthews behind.
7/1/2024: We're in for a long few months without hockey, but that hasn't stopped the books from labeling Connor McDavid as the favorite to win his fourth MVP in eight years. A slow start kept No. 97 to "just" 132 points last year, but his 42 postseason points truly solidified him as the best in the world. MacKinnon opened as long as +700 to win back-to-back MVPs, while Auston Matthews rounds out the Top 3.
4/24/2024: With the regular season over, Hart Trophy odds are completely off the boards as the Stanley Cup playoffs roar on. MacKinnon closed as a pretty sizable favorite and is highly likely he'll capture his first MVP.

Understanding NHL MVP odds
Most sportsbooks will display odds in the American format as listed above. When the regular season is nearly finished and a consensus has emerged, you might see a player with a minus sign (-) ahead of his odds, like this:
- Connor McDavid -400
The (-) means that McDavid is the odds-on favorite, and a bettor would need to wager $400 to win $100. Other contenders in the MVP race might have plus (+) odds to win.
- Nathan MacKinnon +650
Here, a bettor stood to profit $650 for every $100 wagered.
If American odds aren't your thing, simply use a tool like our odds converter to switch the odds to decimal or fractional format. Most online sportsbooks also give you the option to change the odds format that you see.
