The Vancouver Canucks look for their fourth win in five starts as the end of their 6-game road trip nears with a visit to Detroit to battle the Red Wings.
With a sparkling 9-2-0 road record, Vancouver is a -130 moneyline favorite at Little Caesars Arena Sunday in the NHL odds.
Taking on the only team with a home-losing record in the Atlantic Division, my Canucks prediction and NHL picks has the visitors hitting the right notes in Motown.

My Canucks analysis
After taking an ugly L in Pittsburgh to snap their 8-game road win streak, the Vancouver Canucks got right back at it with a 4-3 OT win Friday against the Sabres.
Kevin Lankinen, who gave way to Arturs Silovs against Pittsburgh, needed to be sharp in his return, posting 31 saves to move to a perfect 9-0-0 away from Rogers Arena this season.
He’s a big reason the ‘Nucks own the second-best goals against on the road, at 2.27 goals against.
The Canucks continue to get their offense by committee, and they’re up to 12th in goals for on the year at 3.23.
Conor Garland potted two goals against the Sabres, including the OT winner, and that vaulted him to the top of the team’s goal-scoring list with eight.
In fact, Vancouver has 10 players who have between three and eight goals on the season. Quinn Hughes leads the team with 25 points on the year.
That’s helped them absorb some injuries, as JT Miller (personal) remains out, while Brock Boeser (upper body) was just announced out indefinitely on Saturday.
The Detroit Red Wings pose an interesting test, as Vancouver topped them 4-1 in the last meetings, ending a 5-game slide to them. Detroit has also won four of the last five between these teams at Little Caesars.
But this year’s edition of the Wings has struggled to score, posting just 2.33 goals per game at home, which ranks 30th in the NHL.
While they rank middle of the pack in goals against, they are dead last on the penalty kill, with a low conversion rate of 66.2%.
That did Detroit in last game, when they surrendered three powerplay goals in a 5-4 loss to the New Jersey Devils Friday night.
Vancouver has rolled as a moneyline favorite of late, going 4-1 in its last five. Another group effort offensively and Lankinen doing his usual bit between the pipes should be enough to improve that mark.
