We have a divisional clash on Sunday between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans, with both teams enduring a difficult period.
A fully-fit Jaguars are arguably superior to the Titans, but our Jaguars vs. Titans predictions believe the loss of Trevor Lawrence is too much of a difference maker and that the Titans will cover the spread.

Jaguars vs Titans prediction
Who will win Jaguars vs Titans?
The Titans were originally 1.5-point underdogs but news of Trevor Lawrence hitting IR helped flip the odds to see the Titans favored by 3.5 points. That makes total sense given the drop-off between Lawrence and Mac Jones.
Given what we’ve seen from the Jaguars all season, and their games with Mac Jones under center, we’re expecting the Titans to not only win but also cover the spread, thanks to their secondary.
My best bet
Titans -3.5 (-110 at BetMGM)
My analysis
There’s no way to hide the truth: Sunday’s Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans game is a game that doesn't really need to be watched.
The Titans are still one win above the visiting Jaguars with three wins, with the Colts and Texans far in the distance. Both teams come into this on the back of defeats, for the Titans, it was a 42-19 defeat to the Commanders, while the Jags narrowly lost to the Texans. However, this isn’t about one game, it’s about the season so far and that points towards the Titans covering the spread here.
The Titans came undone against the Commanders but before that, they’d had three fairly impressive weeks. Good performances in defeats to the Vikings and Chargers were followed by a 32-27 win over the Texans, who are in freefall at the moment.
Will Levis is playing the best football of his career so far, which admittedly isn’t a high bar. He’s thrown two touchdown passes in three of his last four games and while not being brilliant, is showing signs of improvement. The real strength of the Titans lies in their defense. No team has given up fewer than the Titans’ average of 171.8 passing yards per game. Meanwhile, the unit ranks 10th in defensive DVOA, in stark contrast to their offensive DVOA rank of 30th.
The Jaguars are struggling on both sides of the ball, they’ve given up the most passing yards of any team in the NFL, over 100 yards per game more than the Titans. They also give up the ninth most rushing yards, as well as ranking dead last on defensive DVOA.
If Trevor Lawrence was available then you’d still think that he and Brian Thomas Jr. could get the better of this Titans team but without him, it feels like a near impossible task. The team has lost all three of their games with Mac Jones starting under center, in which time the 26-year-old has thrown more picks than touchdowns, two TDs to three interceptions, and has exceeded more than 150 passing yards just once.
Neither of these teams possesses a great, or even good offense, but the Titans are at least showing signs of improvement, while the Jaguars are treading water until their coaching staff is dismissed at the end of the season. Given the vast gulf in quality between both defenses, we’ll be taking the Titans to cover at home, with the Jaguars losing their seventh straight road game this season.
Jaguars vs Titans same-game parlay
In addition to our best bet, we’re going to back a total Under 40 total points. Both of these teams have struggled on offense all season long, and that’s unlikely to change here. They’re both in the bottom eight for points scored per game, with the Jaguars averaging 19 points per game and the Titans marginally behind on 18.4.
Our final leg of the Same-Game Parlay is for the Jaguars to score Under 14.5 total points. They are a genuinely terrible team on offense. In Mac Jones’ three starts, they managed double-digit points just once.
