Yankees vs Dodgers props
Prop bet #1: Gerrit Cole Over 4.5 hits allowed
The Los Angeles Dodgers have a loaded lineup, and Gerrit Cole has allowed 19 hits across 16 1/3 innings through his three postseason starts. I also expect Cole to pitch deep enough into this game to be roughed up a bit.
Los Angeles posted the fourth-highest batting average (.253) and second-highest wOBA (.335) against right-handed pitchers during the regular season and sports respective .251 and .343 overall marks in the playoffs.
Prop bet #2: Juan Soto Over 1.5 hits+runs+RBI
New York Yankees star Juan Soto has been a force in the playoffs and crushed RHP during the regular season. He’s cleared this total in six of nine postseason games, too, while racking up 11 hits, six runs, and eight RBI with a monster .452 wOBA and 70.4% hard-hit rate.
Dodgers righty Jack Flaherty sports a 7.04 ERA and 5.86 xFIP through three postseason starts, and Soto teed off on right-handed arms to the tune of a .424 wOBA and .285 ISO during the regular season.
Prop bet #3: Max Muncy Under 0.5 walks
Gerrit Cole posted a 7.4% walk rate during the regular season, and while it jumped up to a 8.3% through two rounds of the postseason, free passes against Cole are still difficult to come by.
Dodgers infielder Max Muncy walks plenty, including 11 times for an unsustainably high 47.8% walk rate over the final five games of the National League Championship Series. I’m banking on Cole and the Yankees bullpen throwing strikes in the opener Friday.
Axel Rose is even envious of Muncy’s recent run of patience, after all.
