Luis Castillo (7-12, 4.35 ERA): Castillo is coming off an extremely impressive outing against the Miami Marlins, as the righty struck out seven batters in seven innings of one-run ball on August 19. Now, the 28-year-old gets to take on the Brewers, who he is 0-2 against this season. However, he does have a 2.79 ERA in five starts against Milwaukee this year, so the win-loss record isn’t reflective of the way he has pitched against this opponent.
Brandon Woodruff (7-7, 2.48 ERA): Woodruff just might be coming off his worst start of the year, as the righty gave up six runs on eight hits in just five innings of work against the St. Louis Cardinals on August 19. However, Woodruff has been excellent against the Reds this season, as he has given up just two earned runs over 11.2 innings against Cincinnati. The Brewers will be hoping he can bounce back from his last start and handle the Reds here.

In two trips to Milwaukee this season, the righty has allowed just one run over 12.1 innings of work, and he struck out 13 batters over those games. Overall, the 28-year-old has been dominant against the Brewers this season, but his teammates haven’t been able to provide him with the run support he needs. Look for that to change tonight.
While Woodruff has been great all year for Milwaukee, the 28-year-old is coming off a really rough showing against the Cardinals. Now, he runs into a team that had been really playing well before losing to Corbin Burnes on Tuesday — something that can happen to any team in the league, as Burnes is nearly unhittable.
Woodruff has struggled against some of these guys in the past, as Cincinnati is batting a combined .260 with four homers and 12 RBIs against the righty. Joey Votto, who has been the hottest player in baseball over the last month, has two homers off Woodruff in his career, and nobody on the planet would be surprised if he puts another one into the seats here.
Overall, this value is just impossible to pass up with Castillo on the hill.

The Reds are sending one of their best pitchers to the mound in this game, and he has had all the success in the world against this Brewers lineup this year. With that, it’s quite easy to rely on him doing more of the same in this one.
And while some of these Cincinnati hitters have gotten to Woodruff before, that doesn’t mean the Reds will be putting a big number on the scoreboard in this game. In fact, all it should take with Castillo on the mound is three or four runs to win this game, making the Under the right move.
