Hi Dan I really appreciate you running this thread, very interesting, and as always educational. I like your ideas, except do you think that maybe playing the 2 away teams closest to even money would be a better option to reduce the heavy juice we see on a day like today? Not sure if my terminology is correct, but when I say even money I mean $1.90 (-110?)

Understand what you mean. I'll have to do some back testing to see how that would have played out.

Another idea... no idea again if this would work. But, what about taking biggest road favourite and then perhaps parlay it with the best priced Under. Perhaps avoid the even 5 totals and use the best priced 5.5 total instead to avoid pushes and gain an extra goal for the win.
That way you are not relying on 2 favourites to win when hockey produces a fair amount of dog winners.
Just an idea while I sit here at work watching hockey scores...
