created a topic bcs is amazing! in College Football id go so far as to name a committee to decide if we even need the championship game. last year not only did we not need a tourney, bama didnt even deserve to play in the championship game. im not piling on bama for their loss, theyre a true dynasty and the best thing going in any sport, just saying more often than 4 teams deserve a shot, 1 team has clearly made their claim prior to the big game. in a tourney situation bama will be resting their starters in the iron bowl next year. everybody but me got what they wanted, cmon let me gloat. Line Movement vs. $$ ??? in College Football let me start by saying i dont know anything, but thats probably just a very very basic rule of thumb. and probably only applies to books in vegas, and then probably only the nfl. you have to consider how much money is coming in. it doesnt take $1m to move a late night unlv basketball game. then again $1m is nothing on the super bowl. today on behind the bets podcast bob stucci said a sharp can move a line with a 10 dime bet. he was talking about nfl games at the time. that was probably no help, but i spent 30 seconds on it, so i have to hit submit now.
