Cal has replaced most of its offensive assistant coaches in the past week, and it¡¯s unclear which will be active for the LA Bowl. Two members of the 2024 staff -- quarterbacks coach Sterlin Gilbert and tight ends coach Mike Saffell -- were responsible for putting the game plan together, so it is assumed they will be present on Wednesday to help run the show offensively. Head coach Justin Wilcox said play-calling will be a collaborative effort, but one person has to have the say with a play clock running. Cal is expected to have both running backs, Jaydn Ott and Jaivian Thomas, available for the bowl game. Ott has been hampered by an ankle injury all season and has gained 301 yards while averaging 2.9 yards per carry. Thomas missed the game against SMU with an injury, but he is expected to play Wednesday and is the Bears¡¯ leading rusher with 598 yards and a 6.6 yards-per-carry average. |

CAL PLAYER AVAILABILITY: Cal quarterback Fernando Mendoza and wide receiver Nyziah Hunter entered the transfer portal so they will not be available for the LA Bowl. Cal quarterback Chandler Rogers is unlikely to play, and starting offensive tackle Nick Morrow is out for the game with an injury. @buckeyes54 Looks like CJ Harris will be QB for Cal. Don't know much about this guy, but he does not look very good as his college career he has 5 TD's and 5 INT's with around a 50% completion rate. |

Line is now UNLV -3.5 and the total is at 46 or even 45.5 at some places. Was a good one if you guys grabbed this when I posted. |

Line is now UNLV -3, great to get a 4 pt move in our favor and folks can take Cal ML if they wanted to lock in a small guaranteed profit. I¡¯m letting it ride. Still love UNLV and the under here. |

Total for this game opened at 51 and folks pounded it down to 48, something to keep in mind if playing the under here. |

UNLV +1 - large Cal/UNLV under 48 - large
Cal QB Mendoza and top WR Hunter both in transfer portal so likely will not play. Also, Cal RB Thomas was injured last game and also may not play. Cal's back up QB Rogers is ok but I think overall Cal will struggle to move the ball as their O-line is just bad. UNLV should be motivated for this game. UNLV's strength is their run game and they face a very good Cal run D. Think UNLV will also have some trouble punching in scores in the end zone. Overall like UNLV here and the under. |

Panthers -2.5 vs Cowboys. Cowboys team looks like they have checked out, while the Panthers are still trying to win games ever since they turned things around since their bye. Cowboys coaching also just seems incompetent and their defense lost Overshown last week. |

Things go both ways. Had Bengals ML and spread, which was dead in the water but that blocked punt which led to the fumble saved the day. Super thankful. Yes, refs missed the face mask call but we got the punt/fumble which was huge. Random shit will always happen in games, if you can't handle it then yes sports betting probably not for you. |

Penn St must have thought they don't want to extend the game and in the event they can score another TD that's unanswered, they would be up 1. Risky, but overall a pretty dumb call imo. |
