They are following the trump playbook....if the perpetrator is a republican and he's caught committing repeated fraud just leave him be then blame Democrats for everything, especially Joe Biden.
Spot on. That is how they think and behave

Congressional budget office estimates cutting $14.3 billion from IRS would worsen deficits by $26.8 billion over next 10 years by reducing tax revenue. IRS funding brings in more revenue than it costs by a ratio of roughly two to one.
@thirdperson
Thank you for illuminating the pertinent facts that matter.

So Trump has been cooking his books for years by 10¡¯s of millions Hum so this must be why the republicans want to defund the Internal Revenue Service and take money that was appropriated for more agents and better staffing. Understandable why republicans don¡¯t like the IRS! Looks to me that the ultra rich have been screwing the country for generations and except for rare cases like Trump they get away with it!

I am not sure why you are addressing me on this?
I have not commented on whether one side or the other 'likes' the IRS more.
I would be interested on what evidence you back up what I assume is simply your opinion?

I swear to God with all these rolling and laughing emojis . It¡¯s macabre . The more you post rolling and laughing emojis the more you are crying inside , and bitter , and your self esteem must be kinda low too , that¡¯s what I think , or your priorities gotta be all fucked up if you even think a small percentage of these things that you guys argue about all day could be considered ¡° laughable ¡°
it¡¯s a trap . And you¡¯re all caught in it . And that¡¯s not Don Rickles because it¡¯s not the least bit funny .
BACK PATTING and KISSING threads are like passing HAM SANDWICHES around over and over-wall

November 17 is the deadline to avoid government shutdown. New speaker Johnson struggles with the same funding problem as McCarthy. A stopgap bill at current spending has bipartisan support. A more complicated bill is unlikely to have support. Moody warns of downgrade in US credit rating because of politics. This self-inflicted problem could have been avoided if MAGA republicans honor debt ceiling deal McCarthy made with Biden instead of trying to force extra concessions.
