Going under by 10 or more points is what created the huge value at the current number of 46.5/47. Why would I remove the 10 points of value and make a bet at under 36.5/37? That makes no sense and would be stupid. The key to betting successfully is finding the value and capitalizing on it, not finding the value only to remove it and try to play hero with a bigger payout potential.

I don't worry about what I could have had if I did "this" or "that".

Instead, I focus on making money with the least amount of risk and what I get to keep when it's over.

Since you're new here, this is how you interprete SI. By understanding his vocabulary, you'll get less annoyed.

HUGE = 1 star

GOY = 2 star

Over/Under "should win by 10" = buy 1/2 point to be safe

Underdog "should win straight up" = buy 1/2 point to be safe

"Wrong team favored" = buy 1/2 point to be safe

"Opponent is in a terrible spot" = buy 1/2 point to be safe

IIRC, buying points has helped him twice in football, turning 1 push into a win and 1 loss into a push. So his record is better because of buying, but his profits are lower. 

And the record is more important than the profit when you are selling picks instead of betting picks.

 Lol yes I was a confused with a comment , just tried to understand his words , and yes buying pts consistently will cut into profits , u guys are correct , that being said at the same time if he is comfortable with the

There will always be different opinions on how a sports bettor should and should not bet , but at the end of the day people are not wired the same , especially gamblers , LOL and sports betting offers a variety of betting methods for a reason obviously

the books know their are many many different types of bettors out there

Furthermore im aware that nfl games hit 47 about 3.4 % of the time , so that¡¯s about once every 33 games 

im not sure though how often it hits 47 when buying up from only 46.5 , higher % I would imagine

Totals Landed on 47 , 3.12 % of the time between 2003 and 2023 

Slightly higher specifically buying off 46.5 id imagine but obviously not worth it, a bettor is losing substantial profits with this play

It's not like when playing blackjack next to someone who doesn't hit a soft, or doesn't split double 10's.  If you're trying to keep a count, it doesn't matter if you sit before or after this someone cause it's going to screw the odds on the NEXT correct play.
