I pray to God your cheap ass does not stumble into my bar.
I also dont want to be a dick....but if you are that cheap comps are out of the question. Just have a good time and roll with it.

One of my favorite sportsbooks is at the Hilton, just off the strip a block or so down towards the Sahara....anyways biggest sportsbook in Vegas and for a cheap eat, goto the Buffet right at the sportsbook.. $17 buffet with all you can drink beer or wine included!!! MGD Beer as well! I dont think any other buffet in Vegas offers the free beer included besides this one! And the buffet is pretty decent for $17!
Cheap stay?... middle of strip can't go wrong with Imperial or Flamingo, both Harrahs, get a Harrahs Rewards card, they comp very well.... nothing fancy about the rooms, but you not in Vegas to hang out in your room anyways.... I spend maybe 5 hrs to crash and thats it... usually visiting sportsbooks, other properties or playing texas hold'em all day...
I also don't like forking out $7-8 a beer, so just do some $2 horse bets, give some tips, you'll get drinks..... or grab a case at store for $15 and enjoy!!!!
Will be there in June as well... cant wait!

- Is there anyway to get comped before the action? Not really, well unless you stay at a Harrahs property in vegas then you can get a rewards card and go bet like crazy at Caesars Windsor, lol.
- Do you know of any cheap flight deals or packages that ends up being cheaper? Book flight and hotel seperate, not sure where you are in Ontario, but cheapest would be to fly out of Detroit and I find that Spirit Airlines cheapest, I goto Vegas every year and usually $89 each way.... become a $9 club member with Spirit and even cheaper! This year I paid $147 total for round trip out of Detroit and rooms comped at Flamingo.
- Does the $20 credit card sandwich work? Heard it does, never tried it tho.... slip the desk person a $20 and see if you can get upgraded.....
- Where can you drink for free in the sportsbook? I found no luck with sportsbooks and free drinks.... horse racing much better for drinks.
- Where are the good but cheap buffets? Las Vegas Hilton has $17 buffet with all you can drink beer or wine.... and the best sportsbook! The Rio and Planet Hollywood have good buffets also, but nothing is really cheap buffets anymore like it used to be... expect to pay $20-30 for a dinner buffet. For a better cheap meal, goto Ellis Island (a block off the strip) and get a huge steak and beer for $7
- Where are the good restaurants with good steak and wine?
- Any good shows I should take in? Musicals? Comedy Clubs? Anyway to get tickets at a good price? Depends what you're interested in, lots of shows...
- What do you guys say about strip clubs/hookers? Worth it or not?
Strip Clubs expensive, Hookers no idea, you will see the porn slappers all over... I figure the strip clubs in Ontario here probably cheaper and better anyways.... so i dont bother
Let me know if I should keep going or if you get my drift now... [/Quote]

- Do you know of any cheap flight deals or packages that ends up being cheaper? I book seperately. Fly out of Detroit to Vegas, usually $89 each way through Spirit Airlines... or join Spirits $9 club, even cheaper! And I prefer mon-friday, flights and hotel rooms way cheaper than weekends!

Stack is great, however even with the 20 percent discount this cheap sob isnt going to go. Destroyer there are a few mcdonalds up and down the strip. If you are too cheap for a McChubby then theres this dump a half a block off the strip behind bills that serves all beef dogs and a beer for a buck and quarter. cheers mate - covasbrochacho

Hey DJ,
I've been going to Vegas a number of times each year for many, many years. Always flown out of Toronto.
Heare's some ideas:
Flights - Air Canada - Preferably direct each way. If you have to make a stop, I prefer Denver - less connect time. Flights can be expensive.
Westjet - never used, never liked taking the red-eye home.
I hear it's cheaper flying out of Buffalo - never done it, wouldn't want to waste the time driving there, and especially home after the flight.
The flight that surprised me the most was Sunwing. I had to buy 5 return tickets - Sunwing was the cheapest at less than $400 return each. Flights were direct both ways at decent hours and they also served a hot meal - just like the old days.
As far as hotels, I prefer the Harrahs properties. My favourite is Paris, it's comfortable and I seem to have more luck there. When Paris opened it was the fist hotel that really started giving the average player decent comps. Bally's/Flamingo/Harrahs all less expensive as far as rooms and table limits. Ceasars - nice pool, large casino, more expensive, rooms depend on what tower you're in.
Stayed a lot at Mirage (not part of Harrahs) when it first opened, nice rooms, fantastic pool, good restaurants, but always had bad luck there.
Wynns/ Venetian - beautiful hotels, but for me they're too far away from the main strip.
Shows: You won't go wrong seeing any of the Cirque shows. You can also go online to find out who's headlining when you're there.
Food: Look for dinner & show packages. Wynns has a good one with La Reve. Steak/Italian/Whatever - Been to Ballys/ Paris/ Golden Nugget/ MGM/ Circus Circus/ Binions/ Golden Steer (haven't been there in years though). Kokomos in Mirage is also nice. There's plenty of restaurants to choose from. I'd recommend you make reservations.
Whatever you do - make sure you sign up for a players card and use it every time you play or eat at that hotel.
Hope that helps, have fun.
