1. Not work in some douchebag job. 2. Spend as much time with my family as I want. 3. Make more money than I could in the work force. 4. Save enough money to retire.
I honestly dont have the emotional problems that most post about in this thread as a result of gambling. Im just posting this to state that it is possible to honestly answer the question as a definitive yes.

Gambling has allowed me to:

Gambling has also allowed you to buy that collection of ninja weapons, fitted caps, and swagged out chains.

Poker makes me sick, playing tight with Aces to get cracked by some drunk donkey calling you down with a 9-3 offsuit with a 3 on the flop and 9 on the river.
I can tell poker's not your game.
1) Playing tight against poor or average players will make you a small winner or a small loser. Playing tight against good players is a recipe for disaster.
2) Your mentality is wrong. AA doesn't win all the time but it sounds as if you think it should. You should relish a drunk calling you down and winning with a 9-3 offsuit. A good player will empty that drunk's wallet soon enough.

And your part of the .0001% that can achieve that list you wrote through gambling. (the last one bringing the percentage above exponentially lower as I know of not a single gambler, even in story, that funds a single penny to a Roth IRA through gambling winnings)
But if you are simply answering the question, then it is simply an answer in the affirmative.

Well, you dont have to have a retirement account to have enough to retire.
I dont have a retirement account because I dont see the need to have one. I could have a self employed 401K, or a Roth, but I dont believe it is in my best interest so I dont. I still have a leftover 401k from my real job in my former life, but that will get me a couple of meals at the Sizzler.
