Sorry guys...I've been in California all week. Got married on Tuesday, so I've been on my honeymoon in wine country....pretty easy to forget about posting. Sorry.
Terrible matchups and props this week. Only found 2 I like...guess the books are struggling. I'm not going to force the action this week as it seems the books aren't going to be handing out very many gifts as they have the previous weeks.
Vettel -165 over Ricciardo Alonso +110 over Raikkonen.

On to China and one of the few races that has seen attendance really go down over the years. Part of the problem is that this race used to be later in the year, and now it's not as intense, and people aren't super excited about attending.
This track has some really tough snail-like turns right at the beginning, which means there could be some cars that don't make it past lap one. However, this track is interesting because it has the longest straight in Formula 1. Not a lot of extra wear and tear on the tyres, but keeping your brakes intact will be essential as there are a lot of sharp and abrupt turns.
Onto the betting. You just can't get away from betting the Mercedes guys to win. However, the books are getting smart. They have Hamilton at -135 and Rosberg at +190, so if you bet both, you're not going to have a huge return. Still...unless they both wreck or don't set their alarms and miss the start of the race one of them will win this race. I will put a little bit on both of them to turn a profit, and will probably continue to do that until someone beats them. Or you can just take Mercedes to win the race at -800.
Two early plays for me:
Hulkenberg -135 Top 6 Ricciardo -200 Top 6
It's probably a good time to start buying Hamilton and Rosberg to win the Championship. Right now you can get Hamilton at -160, and Rosberg at +255. Which means you can bet 160 to win 100 on Hamilton, and 80 on Rosberg to win 200.
I'll do that right now, and as long as the books keep giving these lines to turn a small profit if either one of them wins the championship, I'll keep sprinkling a bit on them before each race.
And right now is probably the last time you're going to be able to buy the Mercedes to win the Constructors Championship. They are at -1200, and after this race, that line is going to keep going up and up.
Hopefully, practice and qualifying will open up some matchups and props for us before the race starts.

hey where did you find that wonderful line on alonso? Anyway the seems like all nice picks for the Gran prix man...GL
The only thing to say...i would wait for futures. In F1 things can change quickly...and let's not forget about 2x in the last race.
Got a sick line from dimes before the first practice. I gotta believe they regretted putting that one up as I imagine everyone pounded that one. Books are hoping Alonso wrecks or has a car failure.
As for the futures, here's my thinking for that. I don't believe things can change quickly. The last race the Mercedes cars were racing each other, and finished 24 seconds ahead of everyone. Those aren't slight adjustments that the other drivers and teams have to make...those are complete makeovers. I know all about the double points, but these guys both could be out of reach by then. They will race each other, but they aren't going to wreck each other. They are just so far ahead of everyone I think if you're gonna make money on them winning the championship, you're gonna have to jump on them now. Just my opinion though.

I did not think I would have this big of a card for this race with all the rain in practices, but I trust my judgement of this sport, and I've been great to start this year, so I'm going to add 4 more plays.
Vergne -145 over Kvyat (I played this earlier this year, and Vergne had it won and then had his brakes go out, so I'm going to try it again.) Alonso -173 Top 6 Hulkenberg -250 Top 10 Massa -300 Top 10

Did. Ot see your later picks but the earlier top 6 picks won. ThankyouThankyou
You're welcome! Not seeing my later picks worked out for you though. Massa's awful pit crew kept this from being a real profitable race instead of a slightly profitable race. But still... Slightly profitable is still better than the alternative!

IMHO, it is the most beautiful track/race to watch in the world. Racing through the city...people on the balconies of the hotels...the water...it's just amazing to watch.
This race, no matter how majestic it is, can be fairly boring. Rosberg lead every lap last year, and passing is really tough. The story for this race will be if Red Bull can keep up with the Mercedes because this track is all about turns, and not necessarily straight speeds. I'm not convinced, but we will see.
Early picks
I think we just have to keep playing Hamilton to win until he stops winning. Looks very similar to the Vettel dominance last year.
Hamilton to win -125 Ricciardo -350 top 6 Hulkenberg -220 top 10

It is very difficult to pass in Monaco. Having said this, I'm taking Hamilton at +130 to beat his teammate Rosberg.
Enjoy the magical show in Monte Carlo.

Thanks Sky...I agree with you and tomcat...except I expect Ricciardo to get the final podium.
Looks like I got the wrong price on all of my plays . Normally I can get a good number before qualifying and then take advantage after qualifying, but I'm locked in...hopefully they all work out.
Going to add:
Ricciardo -165 over Vettel Magnussen -225 over Button Grosjean -215 over Maldonado Magnussen -180 top 10.
Going to be a pretty incredible day of racing tomorrow.

9 of the past 10 years the winner of the race has started on the pole, the one race that wasn't won from the pole was won by Hamilton starting 3rd in 08. Add the fact that Rosberg ruined his last Qualifying run in which he was already up a couple of tenths at the time and Hamilton will be fired up! He has already proved this year that he can out drive his teammate, but it's hard to pass and the one thing that worries me is they have both been aggressive racing each other in the past and could possibly take each other out leaving the field open for a long shot winner.
2.8 units - Hamilton -115 2.5 units - Hamilton +190
Good Lucks Guys and Alan always appreciate your insight!

This track normally give pretty exciting races. Last race at Monaco was better than usual at that track, so I expect some good action and passing...just not up front. Lewis Hamilton loves this track...and I expect him to dominate. Rosberg now has the points lead, and I think now is a good time to put some money on Hamilton to win the championship. Yes, he's at -200, but he should pull ahead from here on out. Rosberg has peaked, and I think Hamilton will win most of the races throughout the rest of the year starting here.
As for the rest of the field, I think Ricciardo and Vettel will keep getting better, but they won't have enough to challenge Mercedes. I also expect Alonso and Valterri Botas to have strong runs. I'm still not sold on Raikkonen, but I saw where he expects to get better and blames bad luck on his less than impressive start to the year. I'm not sure about that, but I do think he's in a better car than he's been showing so I think better finishes are in the future.
Adding Hamilton to win -185 Alonso top 6 -275
