Robert Griffin III passed for three touchdowns and ran for another to lead Baylor to a 42-39 victory over visiting Missouri on Saturday.
Terrance Ganaway rushed for 186 yards and two scores,
including a thrilling 80-yard touchdown dash to put Baylor up 42-25 with
just over seven minutes remaining.
Baylor (5-3, 2-4 Big 12) picked up its fifth straight home victory and its second in a row over the Tigers after losing seven straight 1996-2005.
Griffin bolstered his Heisman campaign with 401 passing yards and added 64 on the ground. Baylor posted 702 total yards - the second straight week itกฏs topped 600 yards and the fourth time this season.
Tigers quarterback James Franklin threw three fourth-quarter touchdowns to bring Missouri (4-5, 3-4 Big 12) to within three points after trailing by 14 in the second half. Franklin finished with 325 yards.
Baylor wide receivers Terrance Williams and Tevin Reese finished with seven catches apiece for a combined three touchdowns and 263 yards. Fellow wideout Kendall Wright was slowed by an ankle injury late in the first quarter, but still reeled in seven balls for 97 yards.
Missouri running back Henry Josey, the Big 12กฏs leading rusher, had 132 yards and two touchdowns for his third straight game with more than 130 yards.
Baylorกฏs first score, a 6-yard touchdown reception by Williams in the second quarter, snapped a streak of eight straight trips to the red zone without a touchdown going to back to last week. The Bears fumbled on their first series inside the 20-yard line Saturday.
