Rondel Walker hit a pair of free throws in the closing seconds as joined teammate Avery Anderson III in scoring a team-high 12 points to lead host Oklahoma State to a 57-56 comeback win over TCU on Wednesday night in Stillwater, Okla.
The Cowboys (10-7, 3-3 Big 12) secured back-to-back victories for the first time since Nov. 26 and were able to follow up on their biggest victory of the season last week against then-No. 1 ranked Baylor.
The Horned Frogs had one last chance but Damion Baugh's 3-point, game-winning attempt buzzer bounced off the rim at the buzzer.
Walker, who entered the game averaging only 3.6 points per game, recorded his first double-digit scoring game since Nov. 17 against N.C. State and only his third of the season. Bryce Thompson also had 11 points for Oklahoma State.
Walker's made free throws offset an otherwise subpar performance at the foul line for the Cowboys, who shot 13-for-23 from the free-throw line.
TCU, which committed 22 turnovers, took its largest lead of the game at 54-45 with 3:16 left on an emphatic slam by Charles O'Bannon, who led the Horned Frogs (12-3, 2-2) with 13 points and added seven rebounds.
But the Cowboys answered with a 10-2 run capped with a 3-pointer by Walker to cut their deficit to 56-55 with 31.5 seconds left.
Tyreek Smith then blocked JaKobe Coles' layup attempt at the other end, and Walker drew a foul from Mike Miles with 4.8 seconds left and proceeded to hit the game-winning shots.
Francisco Farabello totaled 12 points and four rebounds for TCU, which used a 13-4 surge to retake the lead after falling behind 36-35 with 12:05 left in the second half.
Mike Miles, the Horned Frogs' leading scorer who entered the game averaging 16.9 points per game, struggled mightily from the field Wednesday. He went scoreless in the first half and finished with only eight points on 2-for-15 shooting.
