I never really posted much here, but just reading on the side lines. Anyway got bored but here are the on court match ups that i think we will see realistically on this series.
PG. Rondo Vs Fisher (Farmar/Brown). The plan I see the lakers do in this series is to continue to bruise up Rondo with his ailing body. I see Fisher and Brown really getting to his body to try to slow him down. Rondo will get his however, since PJ will play fisher too much. Adv. Celtics
SG. Allen Vs Kobe. This I believe is the X factor for celtics. Allen has to absolutely do GREAT this series if Celtics want to win. Both on Defense and Offense. Both guys will tire each other out, with allen running around the screens, and Kobe just doing kobe. Adv. Lakers
SF. Peirce Vs Artest. Difference from 2 years ago is that Artest will defend. I cant see peirce going over 25 pts this series. Adv. Celtics(close to even)
PF. Kevin Garnett Vs Odom. Contrary to what people think, I think Lakers would be better suited to put Odom on Kevin garnett instead of gasol. I think with Bynums injury, Odom will see 30 mins playing time with gasol. and thus getting the assignment with Kevin garnett. If Garnett gets his smooth turn around jumper, Look for PJ to put Odom to defend. Adv. Even
C. Perkins(wallace) Vs Gasol (Bynum). Gasol and bynum job is to protect the paint and rebound, and I think they will get this done. Adv. Lakers.
Bench: I think both coaches will stick out their starters or play upto 7-8 deep. no more than that. This is the time where teams cant feel fatigue. But Adv. Lakers with odom.
Series: Unless Rondo and Allen carries the celtics or Rasheed somehow makes his occasional showcase. Lakers win in 6.

1) The Celtics Bench is better. Trust me Tony Allen will be a thorn in Kobe's side. Tony Allen is one of the best defenders in the league ....Boston has him on the team for this reason. Glen Davis is Kendrick Perkins Jr....this guy has more loose balls and rebounds..hits open jumpers. Rasheed Wallace will see time and produce....he has been at his best in the playoffs. The celtics have an answer for Odom. Garnett, Perkins, Rasheed, and Glen Davis.
2) Garnett and Ray Allen are near the end of their careers. They will not squander this opportunity to win the Trophy. If you want to pick an MVP, I would start with Garnett, Ray Allen, Kobe, Gasol, and Rondo.
3) this is the 2008 Finals all over again. Difference Rondo and Gasol are better. Difference the Celtics are BETTER defensively. Lakers will not take any games for granted. This is a 6 or 7 game series. Start taping these games....these will be classics. Coaching adjustments will win this series. I know ...boring. Gun to my head -- Celtics in 7 games.

So Odom gets counted as a starter and he also gives the bench the advantage for LA? (i won't go into the fact that you put KG - Odom as EVEN and Pierce - Artest as EVEN)...

not a Lakers or Celtics fan by any means but lets be serious when were talking about Tony Allen and ANY top 5 list
Kobe and Lebron can play almost anywhere on the court so they have to be named in this group. All these players named made the All NBA defensive team MULTIPLE TIMES. Really I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear your arugmemt for How Tony is a top 5 guy? Your are so wrong about this, its acutually quite disgraceful
