Sports betting technology provider Kambi has announced a multi-year extension of its partnership with Rush Street Interactive (RSI).
As part of the deal, RSI will continue to use Kambi’s award-winning sportsbook platform and core trading and risk management services for its online gaming websites and mobile apps in the U.S. and throughout the Americas. RSI’s brands include BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse, which officially launched the enhanced iRush Rewards program earlier this week.
“We are delighted to extend our partnership with RSI, a company that has firmly established itself as one of the leading operators in the Americas,” commented Kambi CEO Werner Becher in a press release.
“This latest extension is a testament to the strength of our partnership and the success we've achieved together throughout the region, and we look forward to working closely with RSI to continue delivering world-class sports betting experiences to their players."
History of the partnership
The two companies first partnered in May 2018, shortly after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA). The new agreement marks the second extension since the partnership began, following an agreement announced early last year.
“RSI always likes to put our players first and offer them high-quality and memorable betting experiences," added RSI CEO Richard Schwartz. "Our partnership with Kambi has allowed us to do this, as they provide us with the core betting functionality to offer our players a robust and comprehensive sportsbook while enabling RSI to build and integrate our own unique and innovative sports betting features and capabilities on top of the Kambi platform.”
The RSI sportsbook, powered by Kambi, is now live in 15 states. It's also available in Ontario and select Latin American jurisdictions, including Mexico, Colombia, and Peru.
Award-winning platform
Founded in 2010, Kambi’s technology has grown to serve many licensed B2C sports betting companies, including RSI, Bally’s, LeoVegas, and Kindred. Last year, Kambi was named the Sportsbook Supplier of the Year for the second consecutive year at the Global Gaming Awards. Just before this, the company won Best Sports Betting Product at the 23rd annual Global Gaming Business (GGB) Gaming & Technology Awards.
Kambi also recently reported strong financial results for the second quarter of 2024, with €45.7 million ($50.8M) in revenue, up around 6% from last year’s €42.9 million ($47.7M).
At the close of Q2, Kambi announced that former Sportradar CEO Werner Becher would replace Kristian Nylén as its CEO. Nylén had held the position since 2010 when he co-founded the company with Anders Ström.
