Congrats to you Dougie. I wish there were more NFL games. My 20-4 NFL record carried me but I'm still knocking at the door of a top 100 finish.

thanks everyone! it was fun until the last week - then very stressful - lots of over analyzing - huge difference from finishing 1st to 4th place.

webba & wvugrg made it a tough battle past few days

unlike the streak contest - it was nice to make picks on all the games I liked and not worrying if they were avalable or not

your allowed to go over - the picks remaining after you hit 200 just void out - it's in the rules!

Oh,i thought the last time it was alittle different if I remember,something was alittle screwy about it at the end.Anyway congrats again Dougie.

Ya I also seem to remember the end was kinda crazy last race.Like if you were at 199,you could only pick 1 game,and you couldn't pick another game,till your first pick was graded a loss,then you would be able to pick one more game that day,and if that happened to be a weekday at night,but the time your 2nd pick is graded,there aint no more games on the schedule for that night.There was something crazy about it.

Ohio vs. Eastern Michigan NCAAB started at 6:00PM ET and that was a Loss. Buffalo vs. Central Michigan NCAAB started at 6:00PM ET and that was a Loss. Buffalo vs. Ottawa NHL started at 7:05PM ET and that was a Win. Toronto vs. Chicago NBA started at 8:00PM ET and that was a Win. The games with the (2) Losses were not over before the games with the (2) Wins started. The (2) games with a Loss were finished before the (2) games with a Win were finished. Thus, all (4) games were allowed to be picked when starting at 198 Wins. Under last and previous years rules, the (2) Losses would have been it for the day and DF would be starting today at 198 Wins. COVERS changed the Rules. I guess you can pick (4) games per day regardless of being at 197, 198, and 199 Wins. I wish they had this Rule last year.

boy - glad i didn't have to go through all that - then you could have a bunch of guys relying on tiebreakers - not good

jmspsu83 was correct in stating the rules last race. But I recall him and maybe a few others near 200 wins, were denied by the system in making that 2nd pick, after getting a loss on the first game. The rules clearly stated a 2nd pick would be available after the first game was over and recorded. A covers representative wrote that the rule is only one pick per day if your sitting at 199. The rep was wrong and a few people probably lost a few thousand bucks because of it. I didn't read the rules this race, so I was surprised the winner had 4 picks pending at the start of the day, while sitting at 198. I like it better this way anyway.

Congrats to Dougie and webba and to all you uther muthers I was chasing. Great race! Im a little bitter right now though because Im sitting at 188 knowing there was about 12 better picks I could have made

. And thanks to Covers for having the race at the right time. There should be no argument Fall-Finish is the best time for this contest.

Also, I remember reading a thread last year about how finishing the race was difficult because of selecting only the amount of games you needed to reach 200 and then wait for the grading process if you had a loss. Well Cover listened. Once again Covers did what was best.

I hear you Tap,im sitting at 191,and there are at least a couple games I remember losing during the race that really stick out,i had Washington -1 when LeBron tied it with that three,but im sure everybody has their own horror stories of bad beats,it really was a very exciting race,and I feel bad for WVUGREG he led forever and then had a cold ending,he still had a really great race.

I really hate the race being over,definitely the most exciting and entertaining contest COVERS has,i hope COVERS has another one as soon as possible.Again congrats to the winners.
