I have a friend that on some conversations doesnt want to talk over the phone. Says the govt. is listening on us and he doesn't want to get caught. Does anyone know the truth on this?

Meet him in person. Then talk to him and set up code words that you two can use on the phone. I know it sounds stupid, but it can work.

I don't trust the government either. I send out no info through email, internet, or phone, that I don't want anyone to find out.

Best to use coded smoke signals if you don't want to get caught.... BTW, what's the illegal activity you and your friend are engaged in ?
