NRL Week 2

All in all was a tough round one. Had some good reads on games and then there was others were I was way off base and the team was poor and lacked execution and finish. Will be interesting to see how some teams back up this weekend.

Picks:

Eels +3.5 7 units @ $1.90

Eels were impressive last week and wish I had grabbed 6.5 while it was available however this is what I am left with so will take it. Dogs made a late surge but from what I could tell the Panthers had thrown in the towel and thought the game was in the bag. Dogs looked trash for 65 mins of the game and really see no reason to back them this week. Eels drummed the Sea Eagles in a game were they looked very good on attack and looked like a team that was playing together instead of relying on a 1 man to make things happen. Perhaps will be a good thing for them to no longer have the Hayne plane.

Broncos Su 5 units @ $1.90

I am going to have a dash at them again this week. Yes they let me down in a big way to open the season but I have huge raps on their team this year and would be wrong to let one week put me off. I think Bennett will straighten the ship for the match up tonight and have them going back in the right direction.

Not a great night. Was spot on with my Broncos play but way off with the Eels. Think though that the start of that game may have been a little fishy, in first 10 mins the Dogs had a lot go their way. Any way time to move forward onto the slate of games tonight.

Pick:

Panthers 1-12 Margin 3 units $3.20

Think they win this game but the Titans showed me enough last week to suggest they will take the game down to wire and keep it close. I am not going to make much of the late collapse last week for the Panthers as I believe they had turned off as they thought had the game in the bag.

Storm -1.5 5 units @ $1.80

REALLY!!!! This game could be over inside the first 30 mins. Sea Eagles were very poor last week and so many other issues going on that is not related to Footy. Well playing Footy an way. Storm had their moments last week but I believe they will tidy up the mistakes. I will make a note that I usually do not like betting the Storm at all but it is what it is and think this one could get ugly.
