What a shocker - up 17-3 10 mins before half time and in a blink are down 32-17 and well and truly done and dusted. Richie showed why he is (was?) one of the best ever by getting across in cover to hit both wingers late in the 1st half but then missed both tackles, costing 12 points in 2 minutes. He also, of course, missed Fruean in the Chiefs game after again getting across brilliantly in cover. Anyhow they're without him now for around 8 weeks. Is it too early to write them off? Probably but without DC and now no McCaw they sure have an uphill battle, especially having gone 2 and not even a BP. Saturday v Stormers is almost a must win game for them.
Brumbies got the job done, as predicted, and despite my dislike of betting on the unreliable Canes games, this is the one that initially grabs my attention for next week. Brumbies have the right mentality.
Early thoughts -
Reds to bounce back after that very ordinary Cheetahs performance.
Force are the worst aus side and Rebels should handle them.
I don't know what to make of the Blues (I've been wrong twice with them) but Bulls at home should get the win.
Sharks will win but how much start will we have to give?
And the Crusaders? Probably.
