 as soon as I posted this the announcer said the same thing that the 2 big high-low was killing drake and fau went away from it. and as expected fau has now gone back to the 2 big high-low and scored easily

hopefully drake can somehow extend this first half lead and I will be placed 1/4 of first half drake winnings on fau 2nd half.

the high-low big play of fau was killing drake early and for some strange reason fau went away from it. coach must feel he has that in his back pocket and wants to see other facets of his team be able to win the game for now. surely he will go back to it as drake has no answer for the size fau is able to provide

its clear fau is the better team and the short live lines seem like gifts drake has almost half of their pts from 3's so far as they havent shown that is their strength early. they are outsized, lack fau's quickness and athleticism also.

with all that said I played drake 1st half. we will see. I watched a little of fau and I just hate teams that do too much ball watching and getting caught double teaming and leaving guys open that is a recipe for disaster when playing a team like drake who thrives on teams that over help and can't get back to the guys theyre supposed to be guarding.

fau has 3 of 5 guys in lineup who were all conference from the schools they transferred from. being all conference says something even if smaller conference and no doubt better competition than the division ii players that make up drake now. that's not to slight drake as the players have played together for a while from nwm st. but at some point athleticism starts to take over given that fau  at least plays fundamental basketball. drake was 4-19 from 3 yesterday 21% and 32% on the year they need to hit at a higher clip they also sent miami to the ft line quite a bit and fau gets to the ft line at a much higher clip than miami on the young season like 44% fta/fga that's a big number
